Mae and Robert Gentle
Hi Liz, I'm from central Missouri. We just made a visit to Davis City cemetery to photograph the headstones of Sly's buried there. I took several pictures of other headstones. 3 were of Mae, Robert and both headstones together. I put one on each of your sights. If you don't want the pictures listed let me know and I'll remove them. Thanks Vickie Schley (Sly)

James I Baker Memorial
I noticed that the picture you took was just of an "area" of the cemetery. Is there no headstone?

RE: Tates in Texas
Yes, Tate is usually Irish or English. Problem is when we look at early American it all gets mixed around, the Tates, Taits, Tatums, Tats, Tayts and Tatus.

I do have Tates, Taits and Tatums in the same generation. They just couldn't decide or remember I guess.

But if your husband's grandparents were born in Scotland, then there isn't a connection.

RE: Tates in Texas
I'm just stuck with a wall on my Tate research they show up in Kentucky in 1791, but I can't trace further than that.

Tait is just listed as a Tate alternative and I'm just wondering if there was a possible spelling change.

Aaron & Hattie Lacey
Thank you for taking the time to obtain the photos of the gravesite of Aaron & Hattie. I appreciate the photos even though there was no headstone.
