Please feel free to request transfer of memorials. I grant management of memorials that I have created, to both family and friends. As long as their is positive intent, I have no problem relinquishing management of memorials. The whole point of graving is remembering those gone before us. This is information to be shared, not hoarded.
Here's a little personal dittie that I have written about graving
"Tis rock and stone and fence and mound I seek.
A lonely grave on a grassy knoll, inside my heart I keep.
A grandfather, not once but twice my great,
was buried there a'fore my eyes opened
for the first time.
An Auntie took me there, so long ago. I myself have been there, so I know
That there he rests, among the hills, and calves, and grass, and sky, and wind.
But I myself like him, am now so old, I can't remember all the stories told. Nor where exactly lies this grassy grave. Where a man once homesteaded and stood so brave.
I want to put a flower on his stone, to let him know that he is not alone. Round the bend, I go and carry with, My honor and my love, for Grandpa Smith.
But sun is going down, and I don't see, the very place I seek where he should be. Perhaps tomorrow will find me, finding him. If not, the grass keeps blowing in the wind."
In memory of Edmond Elliot Smith (1840-1908)

I see on James' memorial on findagrave that you left a note that you are his granddaughter?
Our Baird ancestors were born around Derry, Westmorland Co PA also. Thomas Baird is my husband's 4x greatgrandfather. Is there any Thomas Bairds in your line? We can't find Thomas parents' name. We believe he married Jane Irwin....

I posted the grave photo for your ancestor whose name on the page is Bathsheba Thompson in Vienna, Ohio.
She was second wife of my ancestor Isaac Flower. The photo was taken last summer but I just noticed that I had never uploaded it. The stone says Bethsheba but the other records say Bathsheba.
She married a Foote, then Flower, then Thompson.

Thanks for your answer. I have nothing much new to add , although I continue to plug away. I'm also working on the other two daughters of Henry. Women can be a challenge--and not just in genealogy!

I was curious as to where all the Echelberry researchers got the idea that William's wife was Elizabeth Darrah? Is there a family Bible or a dairy or some letters or a death record or obituary?
I can't seem to find the original document that can be a proof record.

Glad you liked them. I posted a few other family members as well.
I was in the cemetery looking for a particular early gravestone carver (found 11 of his in Lacey St. Cemetery a few miles away) and just happen to take the right stones. I knew that not many pictures had been listed and we were looking for graves from about 1800-1830.
Wish I had taken a few more. This cemetery is easy to find just off of Rt. 6, on "Old route 6" which is a small spur. Many of the markers here are just field stones.
Good luck in your family research.

You uploaded the photo to the correct place, but not as the correct thing. When uploading, it will have options to select what the photo is of (headstone is the default).
Click the drop down, and in addition to headstone, it will also allow you to select family, person, a couple of other things. Select person.
Selecting person puts an icon of a picture and frame on the listing to alert members there is a portrait attached to the memorial.
Copy and paste this, please:
See the portrait on that listing, as well as a headstone? That informs there is a person's pic as well as a stone photo.
Also, uploading as a portrait keeps it at the top of the uploads by default.
Hope this helps, and thank you,

Will you kindly re-upload Margaret's photo as a portrait so the proper icon appears on the listing? I guess it was mistakenly uploaded as a stone. Done it myself.
You still in Bossier? I just got back from Florida; family issues. I have only been back a few days, and hardly home at all anymore. It's a little strange going from city traffic to trees and more trees, and deer, and where did all these coyotes and wild dogs come from? Lord!
Appreciate ya, and thanks in advance,

Thank you for the correction. I feel like since you have the last name, you are related and if you want to maintain Michael's memorial I will transfer it to you. Just let me know.
