My Crow family was part of a larger number of Crow families that lived in; NC, SC, GA, AL, KY, IA, TN, MO, LA, TX, IT/OK, and beyond, that are also known as, the "Gold" DNA Crow family group.|
If you see a memorial I created or manage and is your immediate line and not of mine, I will be happy to transfer that memorial to you.
Phillip Crow, Crow(e) DNA Group Study Administrator, and a Gold DNA Crow.

Do you know if Robert C Wood buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, TN married again after his wife, Nettie Lou Wood, died? I am looking for a Robert C Wood who married Dallis Allison in 1948 in Jackson, TN.

|Joanne Largent||Researching William Crow|
I'm researching my ancestors. I so very much appreciate any information you can give me about the Crow family. My great grandfather's name was Jesse Crow Caudell (10/8/1875 - 5/31/44). aka JC Caudell. His father's name was William Benjamin Caudell (3/3/1850 - 4/23/1928. His mother was Sarah Akery (1849 - 1929). His grandfather was William David Caudell (10/21/1820 - 2/13/1908).His grandmother was Sarah Crow Caudell (1824 -1888). William Crow (unk - 6/6/1878) was his maternal great grandfather.

I am not related to dear young Alfred. I just had his bio from research for a talk on the social history of Jacksonville during the war. When I was growing up, Alfred's father's descendants lived a few houses away from us.

Thanks for the info. To have a valley founded by Crows and named after them is better than being a descendant of King Edward III (which is what Ancestry says via Elizabeth White - if you don't take into account problems with birth dates, death dates and locations).
I have only been to Georgia once before; in 1979. I went with a Navy buddy to Okefinokee swamp. It was cool because there was a Civil War battle reenactment that day (the only one that I have ever seen). I believe it was called the Battle of Olleste. Ron

Good job on Find A Grave. I have signed up however; I have not had time to do anything yet.
I was fascinated to learn of the existence of "Crow Valley"; I would love to get some history. Is it named for Crow settlers? Who settled there first? Was it the result of a land auction? I am planning a visit if I ever go to Georgia again.
I have spent considerable time trying to find the burial place of Martin V Crow. His company record says that he died in Ringgold Georgia of disease. I have talked to one of the cemeteries in Ringgold and he is not there. It may be possible that he died in Catoosa Springs; it is near by and there were hospitals there. Can Any of the Georgia Crows assist in either of these two items.
See Y'all Later. Ron
|Mia Houghton||Emma Lucille Crow Barr|
I just wanted to let you know I linked a child to your memorial for Emma Barr - son James Harold Barr.
My great grandfather was William Price "Billy" Crow who married Sarah Norris. After Sarah died, Granddad Crow and his only child (I have been told and found nothing to dispute this)Mary Lee Nora are together. The next census, Mary lee Nora has married William Martin Waites. Granddad Crow stayed with this family until he died. The Waites moved to Ringgold, Bienville Parish and lived out their lives. Mary Lee Nora Crow Waites was the mother of seven children. My grandmother was number five. I have two pictures of William Price Crow. Is he part of your line?? There were three Crow members who married three Norris members.
