I am specifically looking for John Ball buried in Tomahawk Creek Pittsylvania County Virginia in 1829. He was married to Mary Patton as the verbal and written account goes. They had 10 children who I have an account of. Their births and marraiges and deaths.I have his recorded Will. But I believe everyone is looking for the elusive John Ball of Pittsylvania County VA. Where is he? He is buried there somewhere. Anyone near there that could find him would help a great number of descendents. I am interested in these surnames: Alexander, Arbuckle, Ball, Boo, Gilwater, Feagans (and it's various spellings), Patton, Shelton, Smitherns, Sorge, Warren, Yocum (anybody who has pictures of my grandfather Chester Yocum). My time is spent looking after my elderly parents mostly. But this is my next interest.

If I have asked for a transfer request and it is not within 4 generations or I am not blood related, please consider transferring to me anyway. I am asking because they were married to a relative or the relative has deceased so long ago it is impossible for a person within 4 generations to be alive. I sometimes am the only one interested. I will take good care of them and never delete them. I will also transfer to a closer relative. I much appreciate the work of the volunteers who contribute this service to us. Photos of the headstones are a great confirmation that the person is really buried there.

On a side note I have a pet peeve about contributors who copy verbatim off of a newspaper obituary and include info about the survivors and the living and where they live. Please be respectful about privacy and quit this. If you read the rules, you are not supposed to do that.
