Dear Bonnie Gilson:

I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is a descendant (2nd great grandson of the progenitor, George Cheadle). My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I am NOT requesting transfer of any memorials. I would respectfully request permission to download this photo and any others which may pertain to our line. Credit will be given such as "Courtesy of Bonnie (Gallagher) Gilson, contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ? ?" if that is agreeable.

I look forward to hearing from you, either way; however, if I do not receive a response by July 31, I will presume you have no objections to either my downloading the photos or crediting you as I have described.

My treatise is in no way a profit making project and will not (by my request) be posted on the internet nor will living individuals be included to the best of my ability.

You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I'm 84) or distance and cannot traipse through cemeteries as we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute to Find A Grave. Many thanks from an old lady.

Dr. John Gregg
Bonnie,

My family came from Jackson County, MO by wagon train in the late 1800s to Arizona. In an account written by my great aunt (who was a child on that trip), they "picked up" Dr. John Gregg in NM. He was temporarily staying there because of an injury and then amputation of his leg. My aunt's account says he got this injury while cleaning a pistol he used to scare off horse thieves. In an article about him in our local paper, it said he got the injury while serving in the Civil War. Do have any idea which account is correct? Please correspond with me by email (kslaven@cox.net) if you can help.

Kay
