ENGLAND/MCMILLION
CHUCK--It was very kind of you and I am grateful for the four transfers. Myself and a cousin in Bristol, TN are working to connect our England Valley kin of Scott co., Virginia and this will make it a bit easier. V/R Joe

Clarence J. DILLION
ENGLAND/MCMILLON HAYBURN
Dear Mr. Chuck Simmons,

My name is Joe Dillion F*A*G # 48546734. I am retired to Maryville, TN after 37 years of active and civil service with the Navy but I was born in Ontario, OR and raised in Boise (Boise High class 1971). I am working on a project, that has ballooned, of my ancestors that left Scott county Virginia, ventured west into Idaho and raised family and WHY? I am one of those products of the move. In the Hillcrest cemetery in Weiser, ID are my grandfather and father--DILLION/DILLON and a host of relatives including ENGLAND and MCMILLION.

Just this week, I have found and putting together a new piece of the puzzle where Harmon Floyd McMillon (Hayburn, ID) left Scott co., VA and settled along the Snake River in Hayburn with his wife in tow, Julia Head McMillon--also of Scott co., VA. Maybe on the way to Weiser to be with family. Probably will never know what had them stop in southern Idaho except maybe the view, work, tired of travel, etc. My cousin in Bristol, TN says Harmon Floyd was listed in records as a canal cleaner ??

Compounding the puzzle it appears Harmon's younger sister Anna McMillon-England who married a John Peterson after going to Idaho, lived with her brother and was followed by their mother, Elizabeth Herron McMillion England when her husband, Andrew J. England of England Valley, Scott co., Va passed.

These are my ancestors are out of England valley, Scott co., Virginia. My question for you is a bit selfish, I am hoping you might consider transferring these four ancestors to me: Elizabeth England # 84957808, her son Harmon # 85598958, his wife Julia # 85599039, and Elizabeth's daughter Anna # 84959128. (Please check out my virtual Scott co. cemetery for family members.)

Anyway, sorry for a lot to digest and ask of you and of course, I can work to send all the info to you for update if that is the way you prefer as I sift through it. I wish to thank you for your time and consideration.

Transfer Memorial
Chuck, Hey I think I know you. I appreciate your work and dedication to this site. We just got the internet and I was unaware of Find A Grave until just recently. Please transfer my Dad's Memorial #74762718, Ivan Stokes, to me. Keep up the good work, I'll see if I can do the same. Hello to your family. CSK

I duplicated your photo because I got lucky on the dates (no snow). :) I can remove it if you don't like it there.

Jones and extended families
Chuck, first of all let me say thanks for your time and efforts in working with Find A Grave. You are helping so many people. I started my genealogy journey in the 1980's and at that time I visited many cemeteries seeking family graves. Now because of age and health I am unable to do that. There are many people just like me or either we live too far from our extended families graves. You are so important to us. Many thanks. I hope you will not mind my making copies of your photos for my family files on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. I am trying so hard as the Lord lets me live to make a difference for my family and extended families to be able to see their heritage. I am making it available to all of them to see. It is because of people like you that I am able to do as much as I do. Thanks again and God Bless you in your efforts to help others through Find A Grave.

RE: Paul Cofer
Alright that makes sense. The correct middle name for Paul is Everett. Thanks for your help.
