I am an Iowa 'farm girl'. I still live in Iowa, just not on the farm!|
Upon "googling" my great grandmother's name, I found a photo of her headstone on Find a Grave, and have been hooked on this site ever since.
My hope is to leave a legacy here for my children, grandchildren, and others by adding data and links. I am not trying to amass large numbers of memorials. I enjoy helping others, and I appreciate that others have helped me.
I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.
Forgive me for not yet having all burial locations identified. It takes time to research, some whereabouts are unknown, and some obituaries/mortuaries do not list burial or disposition details.
I do transfer memorials if you will add information, unless it is for my relative.
Please let me know if there is an error so it can be corrected. I want to have true and appropriate information.
I try to make edit requests In a timely manner.
I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.
I am happy to share photos with you to use in your family albums. Feel free to contact me.

I have taken gravestone photos of these entire cemeteries, although I may not have recent burials. Some stones are photographed, but are not readable, so may not be matched with a memorial. All have been posted for:
Paton Cemetery - Paton, Iowa
Dawson Cemetery near Paton, Iowa
Antioch - Clarksville, Iowa
Lynwood - Clarksville, Iowa
Old Town - Clarksville, Iowa
Pleasant Valley - Clarksville, Iowa
Butler Center - Butler County, Iowa
St. Mary's Catholic - Greene, Iowa
I added many photos for McCallsburg Cemetery and Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene, Iowa. I will be taking more photos when possible.
My wonderful Jiffy has crossed the "Rainbow Bridge". I would love it if you stopped by her memorial. Thanks so much! 🐱

Thanks for the info. Since that was done several years ago, I no longer have the obituary, and with the cemeteries having the same name, it's an easy mistake. They sometimes list the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery as just Memorial Park Cemetery. If the headstone is where you say, I'll delete my listing. Thanks for letting me know. Have a great holiday!!

There appears to be some confusion here. I was correct in my first message - Mary W Eden, 1828-1896, was never married to Charles Tazewell and therefore the link is incorrect. His 2nd wife was called Mary E Eden, 1846-1925, and they married in 1876. She re-married after Charles' death to James L Hunt, in 1889. I have now found her burial details on the findagrave website and she is recorded as Mary E Hunt, 1846-1925, Find A Grave Memorial# 92260449. She is buried with her sister Lavinia J Eden, who never married. I hope this is now clear and the correct link can be added.

I have requested the duplicate memorials to be removed.
Totally understand how busy you are right now. Your life takes precedence. We've been through the marriages many times and it takes a lot of time to get them ready. Good luck and God Bless the Wedding Couple.

Thanks so much. I can't fins my notes now to look at her grave again. Do you remember where Ruth Hunter is? I wouldn't have any McBride relatives there, I don't think, they were all from Cresco, Riceville area. thanks, Barb
Oh & I have an old photo of her I will try to scan & get up there. She is my grandpa's sister. I don't remember her at all but would sure be nice to find her kids. Barb
|Karen Tolliver||Linda B Simpson|
You have an entry in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua for Linda B Simpson. The date of death shows 1931, but according to the Greenwood Directory it should be 1954. I know she was alive in 1941 per a newspaper clipping re a family reunion. Her husband, David, did die in 1931. Do you, by chance, have photos?

I don't believe she's still living. She would be over 100 years old. Wonder where we could check ?
