I am a 'farm girl' who grew up in central Iowa, but now live in northeast Iowa.|
I found my great grandmother's headstone on Find a Grave quite by accident and have been hooked on this site ever since.
My goals are to try to leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren by connecting them to their family.
I also want to help other people find their relatives and friends. I am so happy to hear from a family member who has found a relative or friend through a memorial I created.
I recall the tender message from a woman who wrote to thank me for the memorials and gravestone photos of three little children born in the 1880s. The family moved on, and the wherabouts of the children was unknown to succeeding generations. The children have not been forgotten!
I am not interested in amassing large numbers of memorials. I am interested in connecting family members.
I am fine with transferring memorials (unless it's my relative) to someone who will add information.
I have posted many memorials and photos from various cemeteries so you can gather data for a person. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove any photo you do not want on a memorial.
I usually try to make informative memorial pages for people. I also try to connect family members within a cemetery or area by researching the family. This takes time, so the memorials I've created are never "done".
I do not know everyone for whom I created a memorial. Please let me know if you notice an error so it can be corrected. I want to have true and appropriate information that may help others search.
I make edits sent to me as quickly as possible (often the same day). I appreciate knowing about obituaries added to memorials I have created so I can make links to family.
I am happy to share photos with you to use in your family albums. Email me using the edit and SAC tab on any of my memorials. I do not post my email address.

I took gravestone photos of the entire cemeteries at Lynwood, Antioch, Old Town and Pleasant Valley Cemeteries near Clarksville, Iowa; St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Greene, Iowa and Paton Cemetery in Paton, Iowa.
I added quite a few photos for McCallsburg Cemetery and will be taking photos in several Butler County cemeteries soon.

|Diane Reuscher||Pleasant Hill Cemetery|
I couldn't remember who that might be, but looked through all of them and came up with Frederick Louis Schilling. Amber & I both have that one. I need to get together with her and several others to get these doubles out of there. I don't care who has them as long as we get them all and they're all correct. It's an ongoing project. Thanks for your help!
|Diane Reuscher||RE: St. Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery|
Thank you. Didn't know there was another memorial - where is that?
|Diane Reuscher||StJohns United Church of Christ Cemetery|
St Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery, Chickasaw County, Iowa, does not exist as such. The church is the St Johns United Church of Christ, but the cemetery is Pleasant hill, all in Butler County, Iowa. All the people have been moved to Pleasant Hill. Thanks, Diane

Just wanted to say thank you for the memorials you created for Solomon Christy and his family. They tie into my Burpee reasearch and your memorial allowed me to add an exact date of birth for Saul.
|Bob Carter||RE: Albert Harper|
Find A Grave's address is firstname.lastname@example.org and just let them know the problem and the Find A Grave member number, and also the burial ID which you want edited. Sometimes the other Find A Grave member might be inactive, or deceased, etc., but if not then there's no reason why they shouldn't work with you.
If you need something in my area of NC, just let me know.
|Bob Carter||RE: Albert Harper|
Remember, if Ms. Dodge won't correct the burial location then let them know and they'll correct it for her (you) and then you can delete your record.

Thanks for adding the color photo of my great grandfather's stone. I live very near the Rooks Creek cemetery. If you are in the Pontiac area again, please call me so we can meet. My name is in the Pontiac phone book.

I'm retired now, too, and have found genealogy to be quite a time-consuming and enjoyable endeavor. I grew up in Woodford County, have/had relatives in Livingston County. I visit cemeteries whenever I go back to IL (I'm in NC). I don't think I have any Rapp folks in my family. JeriO

|Jeannine (Booton) Hall||Dale Rapp|
I am not related to Dale, was just paying it forward and taking cemetery photos around where I live. I am from Iowa - went to school in Des Moines, and my immediate family is buried in Polk County.
I live in Woodford County, IL, which is next to Livingston County, IL.
My ex-father-in law use to live and run a couple of business' out of McCallsburg, IA. But he, his wife and son are all buried at Fernald. There is a Hall cousin living in Nevada.
Would you like to have me transfer Dale to you?
|JAB||Clark's at Inglewood Park|
I have gladly removed the requested photos. I was very happy to do it so you can add the pictures of them. I am glad you figured which pictures to delete so that there was 1 of each left.
All the best,
