Happy to make all the Washington County, MO and Grundy County, MO Cemetery records available for your research.|
Since I maintain the on-line cemetery records for these two counties in addition to the Find-a-Grave memorials, I do not transfer memorials to others. I will, however, add family links to a memorial if you provide the link numbers.
Please submit any additions, changes, or corrections to me: firstname.lastname@example.org

|Dogwood777||Find A Grave Memorial# 9780687 - Thomas Shepard|
This memorial lists Thomas Shepard's death in 1898 as does the Willis Chapel Cemetery records.
However, the photo of the marker attached to this memorial reflects a death date of 1918. And, a Thomas Shepard appears with his wife Catherine and his children/grandchildren in the 1910 U.S. census living in Newkirk Ward 1, Kay, Oklahoma. The grandchildren in the 1910 census were the children of Thomas' son Burton and Julia Maxson Shephard, the latter buried in the Willis Chapel Cemetery.
I am not sure of how to reconcile the difference. Can you help?
Will you please link my great grandparents - Elijah Vance #5277583 and Mary Elizabeth Vance #75794062 to their son Solon Vance #5268479 Thank you!

Thanks so much Larry. That should give me enough to help pinpoint the cemetery. Another researcher who posted the image for Edward Tanner said it was behind a white house on Edward Drive but did not give anymore information. The Muskingum County Auditor's map shows all the land plats and who they belong to and there is no land that is owned by the county there. There is also only one house located on Edward but the land behind it is owned by the US Govt, not the county. It's not possible for me to get down to Muskingum. I live in NE Ohio and seldom have the ability to travel south. Let me give you my email address and I can send you a link to a map that you could use to zoom in and locate the land and see the coordinates. That would probably be the best way without physically being there.

Thanks Larry. I knew it was on private property but just couldn't figure out where. We had people transcribe the cemetery back in the 60's and 70's and most recently in 2012 but the original transcriptions did not include directions and the person who transcribed it last year is no longer with the project and will not return emails which is why I am reaching out to you. I look forward to your response!

|DrDX||Brushy Knob - Tanner Cemetery|
As part of the Muskingum County, Ohio Genealogy Society Cemetery Project, we are trying to pinpoint the location of this cemetery. Since you added images of some of the stones, I was hoping you could help in determining it's location. I'm fairly certain it was on the Tanner land that is now partly under Dillon Lake but I can't find anything on any of the maps and the Auditor does not identify any property as having a cemetery on it. Can you help? Did you take the images or did they come from another source?

Hi, Larry! I see your name on quite a few pages on this site....thank you for all your hard work!
Question, though....When I see S/O information or H/O information, are you getting that information from the cemetery records on file, or is it information that a family member has asked to be put on the website?
