RE: Charles Allen Salley #117825355
Absolutely! But please credit my father, James Levi Garrison, Sr. - the picture was found by him. I'm not sure, though, where he obtained it, so he technically didn't own it either. Thanks!

Avis Ruddick
Thank you for your many valuable contributions. I have just discovered this memorial you made for Avis (Elliott) Ruddick in Liberty Cemetery, Garfield, Benton Co. AR. Do you have any further info on her relationship to the Elliott family in Ray Co. MO? I have been told her sister, Julia, was a survivor of the Trail of Tears, so there must be a Cherokee connection. I would love to discover what that is. Avis' brother, Robert A. Elliott in Washington Co. (next to Benton Co.) was my gr-grandfather. Thanks a lot. Eva Walker Myer --

MAJ John 'David' MEFFORD: FAG Memorial# 54790521

Dear T.S.:

At the outset I wish to thank you for your numerous contributions in preserving history. Thank you for your time and devotion.

This evening I will send a series of edits for my cousin MAJ John 'David' MEFFORD (1802-1862), for whom you created a wonderful and informative memorial.

Please feel free to enter into a dialogue over the new dates and conclusions.

Very respectfully,

RE: Mrs. Whitehead
Boredom? What is that? Haha! ;)

We would LOVE to help with the gravestone project. We have both been super bummed because we haven't been able to go walk and photograph cemeteries because of the heat so we have been kicking our obituary transcription into hyper-drive.

Our email is Just let us know what to do and we will do it! I do manage a hotel and work quite a bit but Jade is usually here if she isn't out playing Pokemon GO with her buddies. We would LOVE to help!

Permission Request

I am writing a book on the history of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Oklahoma to support our new state regent's educational project. I would like permission to use the image of the DAR marker on the gravestone of Kate A. L. C. Duncan, wife of Walter A. Duncan, who died in 1930 and is buried in the Park Hill Cemetery. She was the first Indian Territory State Regent. Thank you very much.

Sara Arnel Autry Richardson
Thank you so much for your kindness in transferring my great great grandmother's memorial to me. Earlier in the day I connected her parents to her and sent you the information. It was a sweet surprise to get the email and see that you have transferred Sara Arnel Autry Richardson's memorial to me.

God Bless You!!

RE: Looking for John Ellis
RE: Ellis monument at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons, Kansas.

Thank you for getting back to me. Sorry I was unclear.

It is helpful that you photographed all 4 sides and only three people are recorded on it.

I found a brother of the Ellis's in the Parsons Daily Sun that died in his room he rented over the Billiard Hall in Parsons, his name is John Ellis. His sister, Mary, is one of the people on the monument. I would have thought she would have interred John along with the rest of the family. Thanks to your quick reply I now know that is not the case.

Even though I was confusing you did answer my question and I thank you for that. Katy Rowley
