I was born in Ardmore, Carter Co, OK, where my husband jokingly says that I thought Noah's Ark had landed. |
For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.
I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.
If I have created a memorial for a member your family, who isn't related to me, and YOU CAN ADD INFORMATION TO THEIR BIO (not just family links), I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.
An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.
Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:
1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.
Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.
Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
I have entered many additions to the Dodson memorial pages and most have been accepted and none have been denied. I still have a number pending. Who decides to accept or deny a change? What can you do if you don't hear back on a request. Most of the info I have entered is to link children with parents.
Thanks again for your help, Rhett

You are most welcomed. I started the overview a couple of months ago.. I like the warmth that it gives to include the landscape. And all the landscapes are just lush here in CA. I'm against the photos that look like stiff plaques that represent a name and not the person who once celebrated life.

Thank you, if there's anything you need up this way just let me know.
|Deb Andrews||William David Robinson|
I noticed you are caring for the W. D. Robinson site from Bentley City, MO. I was wondering if you know where his wife Anna Bartunek Robinson is buried or who I might contact to find out? Anna was my Grandma's first cousin and I would really like to update her history in our family tree.
|Mick||John Harvey McKibben, 1854-1918|
The memorial for this man says his parents were Norman Monroe McKibben and Anna Chesser.
However, the 1860 census for that couple shows no children. Also, the census reports for his parents and her parents do not show a any McKibben child. ON the other hand, a J. H. McKibben, age 2 b. Oh is reported in the 1860 census for JOhn McKibben in Lima, Allen Co, Oh.
FYI - I am researching the Chesser family.
