Happy Summer
Hi Conni- I just wanted to wish you a happy summer! I know I have not been able to get to much research lately, and have started on the Franklin-Rodney lines again, after a horrendous work year of 12-14 hr work days. Much needed summer off work and I am going to get busy working at my passion of family history :)

I have sent in a link to Sarah J. Rodney Franklin (#10744849) dau of Michael and Caroline, and the link is for her husband Harvey Cook Franklin, #28758799. Harvey is son of Elisha, and I have linked him to his parents. The linking is taking forever! haha!

Hope you are doing well. I will email you soon!

Cheers from Edmonds, WA!

Haven't found one yet. I've got about 30 more batches of obits to add to my databases. Check with me again in a month or two.

I appreciate the thought but she died before I was born. She is my half-sisters child. Virginia used to talk about her living for only one hour and hearing her crying. I cannot add anything to the memorial and really appreciate you adding her to Findagrave. Virginia would be glad she is in good hands and I feel the same.

I think you can open yours up, save the photo, and attach it to the other one. At least I've done that with some of my duplicates. Let me know if that doesn't work!

RE: Burch family
You are welcome.

I really hoped that when Ancestry took over that they would allow duplicates. People create memorials for various reasons and everyone has something to contribute. After all we are all volunteers.

Unfortunately, they have tightened up the "rules" about transferring memorials from contributors that have died or are no longer active. They will not transfer these unless you fall within the family generational guidelines.

I joined Find A Grave to share the obits that I have collected and the obituary collections of friends. I have access to over 40,000 obits mostly from Kentucky currently in 4 Access databases that I am compiling.

It is too much work for me to check for duplicates. There are a lot of "nasty" contributors out there that it makes this "volunteer" activity a thankless job. These unnecessary "rules" make me question whether it is a total waste of my time.

You are one of the people that appreciate my work and I am trying hard to keep up my patience with the others. If Find A Grave is not the place to put these obits, then I wish Ancestry would create a database for this purpose. There needs to be a centralized online database. This valuable information shouldn't be hidden in some rootsweb message boards.

Thank you, I was certain it was just an oversight as you always respond so promptly.
