|Member, Chickasaw Tribe several family members in the Chickasaw Hall of Fame.|
My gg Grandfather was Thomas Jefferson (Doc) Thompson.His older brother was Green(aka)Greenwood Thompson they came to Indian territory during the Indian removal from Mississippi to Fort Towson Blue co, I.T and settled in Doaksville I.T. They were 13 and 15 at this time and were traveling with the Nail,and Folsom families on there joinery to Indian Territory. Today the State of Oklahoma.
When the civil war broke out both men joined the confederacy both were members of the Choctaw Mounted Riffles serving with Albert Pike, Samuel Bell Maxey, Douglas H.Cooper, Stand Waite and Tandy Walker.
The following Indian family names both Choctaw and Chickasaw are directly related (blood) Bynum,Gardener,Harkins,Thompson,Dyer,and Colbert.
The following through marriage. Johnston, Mosely, and Cheadle.
The white side of the family dates back to the colonial period.They are Owen, Wooten, Petty, Hill,Dudgeon,Boone,Gale,Dickerson,Cole,Abbott,Barton,Freund and Tubb.
Four of the above Cole, Terry, Dudgeon and Owen served in the Continental Army.
The Cole side of my family starts with David C. Cole 1770-1822 and his wife Elizabeth B.Senate 1775-1856. then to their son George W.R. Cole 1799-1855 wife Rebecca Franklin 1807-1880. Their son Elisha T Cole and wife Matilda Roberts were the parents of my great grandfather Jasper L.'Fate'Cole.You will find him and wife my great grandmother Sarah Mae Dickerson in the Connersville cemetery Johnston co.Oklahoma along with many other family members.

Hey - Thanks for the quick photo.... I haven't been there since that day in 92 - never had seen his monument. I am new to this site and have been adding relatives and those I know that haven't been included. I even got to fulfill a photo request myself.... Thanks again Eric K
