Ethyl Freeman
I am sorry. In the last 10 days I have taken over 3,000 gravestone photos in 8 cemeteries in 3 states. I also drove over 2500 miles, spent many hours in two hospitals and had heart surgery. I have no idea where Ethyl Freeman is located. The photo request does not tell me where she is located. Sorry, without knowing that information I can't help. Theron...

RE: Willis Tucker
You are welcome. It's a large cemetery with lots of graves, so it is possible he is there but just not recorded in the City's info or marked. Do you happen to know if he had a wife or any other kin that he might be buried next to?

Durmela Caroline "Callie" Wheeler Freeman
Hi Suzy
I got your message about the headstone. It does look like something isn't right about it now that you pointed it out. I'm going to have to look at the background history of Durmela again. Just so you know.... I am not the Sandy that posted the picture. Thanks again for pointing this out.

RE: Leatherwood
It's my pleasure, Suzy. BTW, I've requested a correction of the location ID; one element was missing from the original Find A Grave entry. It should be fixed soon. Cheers, Marina

I got the spelling from cemetery records. Names are so hard to get right sometimes. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks Howard

RE: Danny Barefoot
I was at the cemetery again today and I went by the site where his marker should be, but there was just an open space. I have also checked all the cemetery records with cemetery workers and we couldn't find anything.

Joseph Winnike Photo Request

I saw your photo request for Joseph Winnike, in West Point, IA, and since I live in West Point, I went to the Calvary Cemetery to locate the grave site. I found a Joseph Winnike whose death date is the same year listed on your photo request (1934), however the birth date is significantly different. Your request shows the birth date as 1888, and the grave stone for the Joseph Winnike I found shows the birth date as 1857. So, I am not sure if I found the Joseph Winnike you are looking for.

Please let me know if you think this is the correct Joseph Winnike, and I will upload the photo. The grave stone also shows wife, Mary, 1866-1941.

Hi Suzy, I see that the memorial photo request for your Dan Barefoot has been claimed by another local Find.a.Grave contributor, he will do a great job with your request. Incidentally, I had spoken with the staff at Taylor Funeral Home regarding Dan. They noted that the back of his funeral home card noted that his remains were cremated and the destination of them were unknown. Perhaps you could call the family who still local to obtain an update. I have a copy of his obituary from the local newspaper if you would like it scanned to your e-mail. Have a great weekend, Helen

Steffens at St. Stephens
I found and photographed Johann Steffens stone. It was difficult to read, but I believe it had the following dates:
12 Mar 1830
30 April 1902
I included this information with the photo.

Jesse or Jessie Jackson Dominy is not the son of Bennie Delilah Pope Richardson Dominy.

As noted in her memorial, she married Benjamin Milton Dominy in 1913 after the death of her 1st husband.

Jessie's birth mother was Francis Ellen Richardson, Ben's first wife of which they have five children together before her death 21 May 1908. She is buried at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Tyler Co. TX.
