Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am in the process of volunteering at/working with Owen Cemetery, (Thomas Township, Saginaw, MI) to record all of the names of the people buried there and photograph all grave sites.

September 20, 2014
It's become important to me to provide as much info. as possible for anyone looking for family members, so pardon my edits....but I'm hoping they'll help people find the correct family members, or just add info for people who are looking for family connections.

September 20, 2013.
I just discovered this site and am learning a LOT about my family history.
My family's names are: Knepper, Graham, Pringle, McNicol, Bracey and Uptegrove.
Thanks to this site, I found and 'met' my father's family. No easy task, when his mother died in childbirth after having his youngest brother, and his dad left them.
Thanks to all of you who do this! It meant the world to me to 'find' them. Now I'm on a quest to find out more.....and in the process I want to help others...just like several others have helped me.

RE: Lafayette Cemetery #1 in Louisiana
Hi Janet,

Yes, my family and I went on a road trip for Thanksgiving and we tried to document a few graves in the Lafayette Cemetery #1 in Louisiana. It was a really cool cemetery.

No worries at all Janet. All fixed. I REALLY appreciate your help with the pictures. I have had issues with the CAPTCHA as well. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Best, Cara in Brooklyn

Janet, I recently received your photo regarding my request for Cole Canfield's tombstone picture. At least now we know he did not have a tombstone! Thank you very much for your volunteering to help.

RE: Sherriff family edits
Thank YOU for all YOUR work! I just filled in few blank spaces. I have sent a few edits to the managers of some of the other family members which should show up at some point (along with some I noticed you have sent).

I was able to find out a bit about Mary Leonard Sherriff's mother Julia. She was from Ireland and married Partrick Leonard (possibly before they left for the US). Julia's father was also Patrick, and her maiden name was McMahn (although I am not sure about the exact spelling for it). Not too long after Mary's birth the family moved from New Jersey to Michigan. Patrick Leonard probably died shortly thereafter. Mary had at least one sibling (but most likely others) - a younger brother named Thomas who was born in Michigan and who died in 1933 in Detroit. I cannot find WHERE he is buried, though.
Thanks again,
Nancy
