Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in family history for as long as I can remember. I have found so much family information through the contributions of the Find a Grave family. There have been Simpson's from my line in Texas since 1852. Family names are Simpson, Wilkerson, Blackshear, Johnson, Keller, Coffman, Cato, Lewis, McMennamy, Blair and Williams.

If I have added a family member, please ask for a transfer. I would rather folks be with family.

Thanks everyone for all the information that you email to me. I post these corrections and additions. Please forgive me for not responding by email to each one of you. I get numerous post each day and I am unable to respond to everyone.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "Old Soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Thomas Merchant is one such patriot. May I use the photo that you contributed to his memorial page, to post on the Vt. C.W.site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

These are of my wifes family. The information I have showed them to buried in the Chisholm Chapel Cemetery.
You are sure that they are buried in the Oakland Cemetery?
Are you related to any of the Wooldridge family?

Albert Roscher
Dear Mimi,
I am sending all of the Roscher family that I could find at this very old and worn cemetery. Most of the families were buried together, however I could not find a marker for Albert, it would not surprise me if the marker had been broken down and buried, if one at all.
I am mailing all of the photos of the Roscher family to you in hopes that these are the remainder of this family.
This cemetery is in shambles, most of the markers are tipped over, or broken and damaged beyond repair. A humanitarian effort should be made to restore this cemetery as it is a historical site for this city.
Warm Regards,
B Shields

Marguerite "Sallie" May Hill
Ms. Davidson, I, evidently, did not use the correct format in requesting the name change for my great-aunt. I had requested that her maiden name, May, be added, which it was. I also requested that her "nickname" "Sallie" be changed from the incorrect spelling of Sally to Sallie, the way that she spelled it. Sorry for the inconvenience, but could you direct me how or to whom I should direct my request? The change I requested now shows as Marguerite Sally (Sallie-not Sally) May Hill on her find-a-grave page. Thank you so much. Sharon Tucker

Wesley H. Simpson
Wesley H. Simpson was the son of Litha M. Stalcup and George Henry Clements. His siblings were Fred L. Clements and James Daughty Clements. His mother died Sept 12, 1921. He lived with his grandparents (Samuel & Florence Stalcup) until after 1936.
At some point he changed his name to Wesley H. Simpson.

Do you know if he was adopted by the Simpson family?

Oops, I see that you also have Bena Darby. She is my great grandmother. Could you also transfer her memorial to me along with Lewis? Thank you!
