50 year old Optometrist, married with 4 fabulous kids, enjoy bass fishing, genealogy, history, archaeology, any and all sports (except for curling), landscaping/yard work. And, of course, eyeballs :) Good grief, 50 sounds ancient to me. I swear I feel like I'm 25! Where has the time gone???
If anyone in Clark County, KY would like me to get GPS coordinates on a graveyard, just shoot me a message or email. No problem. But if I don't know where it is, you'll have to show me. Of course, anyone with a "smart phone" can get an app called "GPS Essentials" and get coordinates themselves. But I use a Garmin Oregon hand-held and it's a lot more accurate than any smartphone app.

Thanks for responding. I just now saw that you answered me back in April, but I didn't see the reply. I apologize. Do you know who has the cemetery information for Rucker's Cemetery so I could contact them to see if they can identify who this Ida Thompson belongs to? I tried googling it but can't find anything.

I was wondering if you have proof that this particular Ida Thompson is definitely the one related to the Ankney family from Ohio. The Ida Thompson I am looking for was married to John Thompson and passed away at the infirmary in Cynthiana, Kentucky. The funeral home was Whaley. She also had a son named Elmer, but they went by the name of Chambers instead of Thompson.

Thanks for the prompt action and your volunteerism.
I'm not sure we could even get in cemeteries here, the ground is totally saturated. Our maintained yards are squishy. The cemeteries, with their uneven ground would be horrible.
Thanks again for taking the extra time.

Thank you SO much for providing this picture! She was my aunt and one of 13 children, and I'm glad to be able to add to my headstone photographs. You all do a good work.
