I am the 8th of 10 born to Paul and Edith (Drayton) Johnson of La Junta Colorado. |
I decided to trace the family history after hearing all the crazy stories of Native American relatives and outlaw relatives. Turned out none was true. Basically came from hard working farmers who had lots and lots of kids and have traced them all over the country with all sorts of names.
The more I dig the more I find and cant believe how huge this thing is getting!

Afraid I cant help you but contact the gentleman who placed the Stone photo on memorial He an expert on this cemetery. Jarrott
P.S. the maiden name most likely came from an edit made on the new edit system.

Took the picture of the new headstone today and posted them on findagrave. They left the old one there also. The new one looks great.

Thanks. His father, Jesse Bridges, was married to two of my G-Grandfather's sisters, Mary and Elmira but Elmira was William's mother.

Photographed the stone as asked and placed it on the memorial. Normally I also look in the cemetery book in the city office also and get dates and places of birth and death if they are listed. These two are not listed in the cemetery book which leads me to think that they may be buried elsewhere and a memorial stone placed here in the Girard cemetery for them.

Hi Sue, The stone photographed for G. Jones is definitely the right one but is almost not legible and is broken into two pieces and out of the base. The caretaker said they would try to reconstruct it and make a new base after Memorial Day. Also, the dates are not quite what your record indicate. G. Jones was born in 1890 and died in 1891 but the rest of the dates match so we feel confident this is what you want.
|Deb McCallister||RE: Davidsons|
Hello. No, I am not related to the Davidsons. I photograph the entire cemetery when I start one, though it may take me a few trips to do so.
Good luck with your famiy searches!
|Richard K Thompson||McCreery at Abingdon cemetery|
You're welcome for the Lucinda (and husband Andrew) McCreery headstone photo. I had'nt been to the Abingdon cemetery since last summer, and with a foot injury in October I just wasn't up to going out there. I'm now due for foot surgery in a couple weeks so I wanted to see the cemetery since it was recently cleaned up. There are actually a number of McCreery surnames yet to be photographed, but for yesterday's visit I mainly did some of the photo requests (got the list down from 53 to 35!).
Hopefully the rest will get taken care of yet this summer.
