If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

|Mary Briggs||Thomas Clifford Reed|
Thanks for adding Thomas Reed's will to his memorial 84382254. Good Job!
I like Find A Grave because I meet so many nice people who are interested in the same thing I am. Those old headstone are fast becoming unreadable. Cemeteries have become a destination when I need a day to relax. I bought a digital camera and learned how to add my headstone pictures to Find A Grave. Next I got a hand scanner and learned how to add those old photos to the family memorials. What fun!
My best to you,
|Daniel Replogle||RE: Akers Gravestone|
Thank you for your comment about the Replogle name. Yes, I agree that my ancestors settled in Bedford, PA area. I have been back to Alsace to see the country and taste the food.
I stumbled onto the Church of the Brethren and later found out that my ancestors were big in that denomination. I was raised UCC because there were two churches in my hometown and one was Methodist and one was UCC. It turns out my grandparents were the first couple to be married in the UCC church so that is how my mother decided to send us to UCC. Mom and dad rarely attended church with us.
I enjoy helping people and finding that they appreciate my efforts. Others have helped me in my photo requests so I am glad to be of service.
God bless you and those you love.
Thank you Michael for the photo from Armagh Presby.

Thank you for adding the documents to William C Baird's Memorial. He was my great grandfather and I did not have a copy of his marriage license. I made all the links that you suggested also.

|Marcia Haworth||Elijah Sharp|
Thank you for transferring Elijah to me. I am always grateful to find a memorial for a family member or close friend. Thank you for what you do. ~Marcia
If I get back to that cemetery sometime I'll try to get a better picture. I found this one hard to read also, but it was the only one I had. MLC
