|To know where you are going, you have to know where you came from. |
My goal is create Virtual Cemeteries of Marines that served with the various companies of 2nd Battalion,3rd Marine Regiment,3rd Marine Division.
That each Virtual Cemetery will include the company name and every Marine that died in Vietnam, listed with the company they served. That each Marine will include a short bio where possible,or as information is being gathered.
If anyone knows,or has info related to any of my Marines, please forward it to me.You are welcome to add any photos of that Marine that you may have.
Also,I will accept memorial transfers of those Marines, that served with the various companies that you made have and would like to transfer to me.
A big thank-you to those of you who have kindly transferred memorials to me,and taken photos.Very much appreciated.
Served in Vietnam during 1969,with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion,3rd Marine Regiment,3rd Marine Division.

CORRECT, THE SECOND PHOTO IS OF HIS MOM AND DAD. YOU CAN CREATE THE TWO NEW MEMORIALS.

Hello Tony, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Life has become much busier than anticipated. Anyway, to answer your questions, I am doing a lot of genealogy on Bruce's family and have some answers. I will have to get the exact information on his burial because I think it is one of those which is not buried in a plot or something like that - but I have read about it. His mother was Mildred Jane (Miller) Barth of Ann Arbor/Detroit, MI. His dad was Walter Barth, Sr. I believe he was born in April 1900 and died in April 1956. I am searching for more info on Mildred, his mom, as I believe these are the correct birth and death dates for her - Born July 10 or 19th, 1919, and died in 1998. Will get you the full info ASAP!! There is so much more to share, but would like to do it in a not-so-public arena- could you e-mail me at email@example.com? Thanks, Debbie/Doodlebug
Will do Tony, some Memorials have the wrong cemetery or town only. I locate cemetery or create one with GPS location, then I post. No use posting someone who can't be found. Thanks.

Tony I noticed that you have a large number of Memorials transferred to you by Pam. Many of which she posted with no cemetery listed "unknown" ...I have posted a number of Memorials and called the cemeteries in question for grave locations, also notified the "Virtual Wall" of burial locations, spent a considerable amount of time writing up the bios ... now because the earlier "unknown posts" have the cemetery locations listed because access is available to the Virtual Wall data online ...my posts will be deleted. Please verify of duplicates and let me know ...I have posted over 3000 original Memorials. Thanks.

The photo posted first at my cousin's memorial is not him. I posted a photo taken before he left for Vietnam. I don't know who the first one is but it definitely isn't Mikey.
