I've been working on photographing Hilltop Cemetery in Mendham NJ and getting the information from the cemetery office into findagrave

Maps of the cemetery Sections and Lots can be found at https://familyancestors.wordpress.com/2015/07/12/hilltop-cemetery-mendham-nj-maps/

There is also a 1926 Cemetery Directory in the paper files of the NJ genealogy section of Morris County Library that current has some names that aren't yet in the database also there is a book at the Hilltop Presbyterian church written by Helen M Wright in 1952. She compiled all known transcriptions on the stones as well as reading those stones that were readable then. Some of the older stones either don't exist, aren't readable, or are under cover of grass. I've made it through her information - adding inscriptions, or other information that doesn't exist today on the stones.

I've also entered the data from the cemetery office cards. Thus with the exception of the recent burials, this cemetery is essentially complete. However, please contact the Cemetery Superintendent for any missing people etc. as I might've missed a record.

Wrong Photo?
Hello,
I was looking at Augusta Babbitt's memorial and she has a Joseph Babbit's gravestone photo on there. Her memorial number is 106977082

Thanks,
Deb

I didn't realize you had this request too! Anyhow, I looked through the entire cemetery (it was rainy and it's on private land so I didn't peruse too long) and saw no stone for Edward. Granted, there are several that are unreadable, and some that are broken/missing. It's entirely possible his is one of those. Sorry!

RE: re Susan B. Hunt
I realized this after I read your bio. Thank you for creating this record, it has given me several pieces of previously unknown information.

Susan B. Hunt
I have been looking for Susan Birnie Randall for quite a while and just today discovered she was married to a Hunt. Up came the hint for Find-A Grave. I will add a few edits if you don't mind. You wouldn't happen to be related would you?
