I'm relatively new to Find A Grave, but I'm so happy to be able to take care of memorials for my family. I have been researching family history, which is what led me to this site. |
Regretfully, I am no longer able to get out and walk around the cemeteries to take photographs, but would be willing to make inquiries in my area to help locate graves. My husband is very interested in family history as well. Researching our ancestors has been a fun journey, and there is still a long way to go.
Please request permission before copying any of my family photos. I either took the photos, or own the originals, of any pictures I post. Most I am happy to share, for personal use only.
Gravestone photos are the exception, and are free for your personal use, without written permission!
Some of the family names I am researching are Roberts, Jahner, Greig, Evans, Michael, Summers, Smith, Wait, Murphy, Gano, Johnson, Higley, Weaver... to name a few. I would love to know if find you are a relation of mine. Part of the fun of my ancestry search has been finding distant relatives and sharing information.
Please send me a message if you have any questions, or if you have information on my family members.

You are very welcome! They have a really beautiful marker -- the stone is just gorgeous. I am glad you like my pictures.

I'm so sorry. I really don't have any information at all about Mr. Murphey.

Is called "Gone Home". It is available on the Internet from the holt county historical society. Mine is a first edition. They are I think up to the third edition. They cost over a $100 now. Sometimes you can find them on eBay

I have made a copy out of a book of their markers. Would you want me to send them to you only or put on their memorials?
|David Roth||RE: Tony Nelson Roberts|
Absolutely - the photo is for you to use however you wish!

went to get your pictures today but it was in the middle of a muddy field and it was still raining. will try again when dry or this fall after the crops are out
Theodore is listed as being buried in Schooler but without a marker. He is the only other Higley listed as being buried in Holt County Missouri. It shows that Theodore was born in Conn in 1785 and died 1853. There is an item of history in a book I have. It says: Theodore Higley was the first Whig to settle in Whig Valley on section 18 twp 62 range 27. W T Higley, son of Theodore Higley, and a Mexican War veteran, also settled in Holt County, Missouri in 1848.
