I'm relatively new to Find A Grave, but I'm so happy to be able to take care of memorials for my family. I have been researching family history, which is what led me to this site. |
Regretfully, I am no longer able to get out and walk around the cemeteries to take photographs, but would be willing to make inquiries in my area to help locate graves. My husband is very interested in family history as well. Researching our ancestors has been a fun journey, and there is still a long way to go.
About my photos... Please request permission before copying any of my family photos. I either took the photos, or own the originals, of any pictures I post. Most I am happy to share, for personal use only.
Gravestone photos are the exception, and are free for your personal use, without written permission!
Some of the family names I am researching are Roberts, Jahner, Greig, Evans, Michael, Summers, Smith, Wait, Murphy, Gano, Johnson, Higley, Weaver... to name a few. I would love to know if find you are a relation of mine. Part of the fun of my ancestry search has been finding distant relatives and sharing information.
Please send me a message if you have any questions, or if you have information on my family members.

Thank you for leaving flowers for my mom. I appreciate it very much. Yes, I did claim some of your requests, however, we're supposed to have a rainy weekend, so it'll be an evening after work next week before I can get them. Hopefully your health issues will get better so you can roam the cemeteries again. I love to walk them - one of my favorite places to be.

I have transferred your cousin to you. I think family should be with family - no matter what the relationship! Jani
|DIANA JOHNSON||RE: Daniel and Elizabeth Bridgewater Johnson|
I found your tree, you show Steven and Martha as children of Elizabeth Bridgewater and Daniel Johnson. I do not have those names at all. I show their children as: Joseph H. Johnson Jr. (our ancestor); Mary Ann Johnson; William E. Johnson; Matilda Johnson; Jemima Johnson; Sarah Ann Johnson; James Harvey Johnson; and John, Daniel and Elizabeth. (the last 3 I have no documentation for) but do for the others above.
Hope you are feeling better!

I saw your message as follows: "Elizabeth "Betsy" Bridgewater Johnson
I sent you an email regarding Elizabeth and Daniel Johnson. Just wanted to give you a heads up, in case it gets tossed into your spam. I'm trying to break through a brick wall in my Ancestry search and hope you may have the answers. Thanks!"
My husband descends from Daniel and Elizabeth Bridgewater Johnson through their son Joseph H. Johnson, Jr. and Elizabeth Nichols through their son Richard M. Johnson and Sarah C Dawalt through their son Samuel Berkey Johnson and Laura Robertson through their son Gerald Johnson. My husband has had his DNA done through Ancestry.com and I am happy to share any information we have on this line.

You are very welcome! They have a really beautiful marker -- the stone is just gorgeous. I am glad you like my pictures.

I'm so sorry. I really don't have any information at all about Mr. Murphey.
|Gary Hurst||The book|
Is called "Gone Home". It is available on the Internet from the holt county historical society. Mine is a first edition. They are I think up to the third edition. They cost over a $100 now. Sometimes you can find them on eBay
|Gary Hurst||RE: Higleys|
I have made a copy out of a book of their markers. Would you want me to send them to you only or put on their memorials?
