Hello fellow find-a-gravers,|
Just found this wonderful artist and his touching rendition of Lord I need You! If you have a minute and a decent internet connection... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuvfMDhTyMA&feature=share
Now back to findagrave business...
To request transfer, please do not post your request here in the comments section. I ask that all transfer requests be made through the official "suggest a correction" mechanism. Just go to the memorial, click "edit", then click the last option which lets you send a free form request. That sends me a link to the memorial, which helps ensure I process the correct one, and also sends me your member number so I don't have to go look it up. This saves me two or three steps, and helps me be accurate.
Excluding my own kin and special memorials, all of my memorials are up for grabs. If you are kin, you should have them imo. If no kin comes forward, then anyone who has a connection. Maybe you live next to the cemetery? Maybe you went to school with him/her? Maybe I have one of your old co-workers. You get it :) Just ask!
If you are also adopting out your memorials, I would happily adopt any of my family surnames in the United States: Claussen, Crawford, Fox, Pennington, Petersen; and in Germany: Claussen.
Thanks, and may God bless you immensely today!
This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on findagrave! LOL )

Deb, Hello. I noticed that you have 6 of my ancestors memorials in a virtual cemetery titled, "Velvet Photo Book." Are you related to my family?

Thank you for the transfer of Matthew. I appreciate the time you've dedicated to logging the memorials of all those who've preceded us into Find-A-Grave. Each has a story to tell.

I am so excited to have this link, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Lee Barnes, for our family.
Thank you so much for your very quick response.

I re-processed the headstone photo I put on Otto (my skills have improved a lot in the last 7 years). Not only did I add the new photo and remove the original, but I also included a close up for Otto. You will probably want to change the order of photos to put his portrait on top again.
I also noticed that there wasn't a photo on Bertha's memorial, so I put headstone photos on for Bertha. You will probably want to remove the "See Otto Herman for picture of memorial marker." note in her bio.

I just looked at the Cemetery Name, I have never been in that cemetery!!!
|Carol Johnson Hoch||Amanda Braun|
Do not know why there are so many unmarked pictures on this memorial, suspect a computer glitch...I will remove them right now. Carol
Thanks ... I will make the link today.
FYI Anna Marias maiden name has puzzled me . I just checked my tree and find the following notes. "Find a Grave" has her as Anna Maria Vroman. I need to check this out further - have a note (Owego town clerk deaths 1890-1909 #7) d/o Peter Brougham and Anna - (Vrooman may be the German spelling of Brougham)
Vroman name Info also taken from an on-line tree
1880 census - Andrew 61, Maria 56, Ostrum Dingman 19, Peter Vrooman 49 may be brother of Anna Maria. Neighbors Kaley and Walter Winnie
Notes on Peter Vrooman: enlisted in Sharon NY 1/04/1864 as private. Mustered out 10/02/1865 in Savannah, GA. Vrooman is the Dutch spelling. In the same regiment at about the same time were: Conrad and Levi Winne, John Vrooman who enlisted 8/28/1862 age 43, and William Dingman who enlisted 9/23/1862 age 42.
Thanks again ....
