After helping my daughter with a family tree project more than 10 years ago, I've been hooked on genealogy. Before that, I never would have dreamed of walking through cemeteries. It has now turned in to something my step-daughter and I enjoy doing together.

Now, I regret not talking with my grandparents while their minds were still fully functional, and their memories intact. Who knows what pieces of family history have been lost forever?

I have always been a history buff. Now, I have a new found appreciation for family history, and wonder what stories these long gone family members could tell.

I have gone around cemeteries taking pictures for my own use. I would like to help others with their search for their long, lost relatives. That's why I'm volunteering to take photos for you. I would hope there are those out there who would do the same for me.

Let me know if you would like photos taken in Cole, Callaway, or Boone counties in Central Missouri, or Marion, Monroe, or Ralls counties in Northeast Missouri.

Many thanks for getting Riall's headstone onto Find A Grave. It is an impressive stone.

I wonder if you'd allow me to use the pic in the family research, with credit, of course?

RE: Rebecca Tennessee Barns
I will see what I can find out. It may be a few days before I can get to it but I will try.

Rebecca Tennessee Barns
I received a request for a photo of Rebecca Tennessee Barns's memorial at Woodlawn Cemetery here in Nashville. I will be happy to see if I can locate the memorial but I want to be certain I've got the information correct first because her date of death is listed as 1850 and the cemetery was farmland until the early 1900s. Do you have any information that may show her being reburied in this location? From a personal standpoint, I've never seen any memorial stones in the cemetery before the 1930s. Please let me know.
