Genealogy has been a way of life since 1981. I would especially like to thank all those photo volunteers who have shown such kindness to my family and myself. I have received so much support from numerous individuals, thru the years, that it is time to give back as a volunteer. Since most of my family ties are in the midwest or east of the Mississippi River, photos are often difficult for me. |
For those in the Newton County, Missouri area, please ask for a transfer, if I manage your direct relatives. I am more than happy to update information or transfer pages to family members. But as a reminder, I do have relatives there also.
To provide information or request a transfer, please use the "Suggest A Correction" (SAC) link, located on the Edit Tab (upper right corner) of the page in question. Using this procedure will send a message to my email that includes links to both the memorial page as well as your Contributor ID so I'll be sure to update or transfer the correct page. Don't forget to specify your relationship! It may or may not fall within the guidelines of Find A Grave.
“Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, for as long as there is memory, they’ll live on in the heart.”

Thanks once again Deborah. Everything is wonderful now that summertime and flowers are here.
'Til next time,
|Eva Myrick||Effie O. Smith|
I notice you manage Effie O. Smith's memorial 8799994 in Burkhart Cemetery.
Just wondering if you are related. Effie O. Armstrong-Straw-McAllister-Smith was married to my grandfather Andrew Jackson Straw's brother James Franklin Straw in 1907.
James and Effie had one son Merle in 1907 Pratt Co. Kansas. James and Effie divorced and she married Charles McAllister and they lived in New York State until he died. Then she married Hugh B. Smith.
Effie only had one child and that was Merle, who was a long time Navy man. He died in Florida in 1977 and was cremated. The Navy scattered his ashes at sea.
If you aren't related to Effie I would be honored to manage her memorial. I think I can connect her memorial to her parents and siblings memorial. I can add her birth place as well.
I would like to be able to write a family bio and add it to her memorial. Thank you, Eva Myrick

A quick note.
RE: E.A. Comstock ( 4 July 1839 - 26 Feb 1891) in the Seneca Cem., MO. She is my husband's great-great grandmother, and her given name was Electa Ann Gifford. Her husband was Calvin Comstock,(1838-1893), and we do not know where he is buried, but we assume in the Seneca Cem. also, as the family lived in Newton Co., at that time.
Electa was born in Ontario, Canada, and md. Calvin Comstock in Madison, Dane Co., WI.
If you need dates etc., I will add those.
Her parents were Enos Gifford, and Sarah Rose.

Thank you for all your work on Find a Grave.
When you have a moment, please add the maiden name of BROWN to Betty Loraine FRAUNDORF, Findagrave Memorial #54404797 and note her parents are James Alvis BROWN Memorial #54371969 and M. Letha BROWN MARSH Memorial #54409520 who are also in Forest Park Cemetery. (Betty was my Aunt and Alvis and Letha my maternal Grandparents.) Thanks,

Thanks, Deborah! I have been doing some more research, and have found that later in his life he married a Martha Ellen, so I do think that they share this monument. I would love for someone to be able to confirm it for me, though.

It makes me so happy to know that I have helped you! I only wish I could have helped everyone with their Block 21 requests, but so many of the stones are missing.
Glad to have been of service!
