Born October 28, 1954 at Samaritan Hospital in Macon Mo. (Family living in Bevier,MO.)

Father: William Robert (Willie) Cross
Mother: Nellie Margaret Dawson

Including myself, William & Nellie had 7 children (5 boys, 2 girls)

Myself: Lived in Bevier, Mo. since birth.
Education: 1-8 Bevier C-4
High School: Bevier High School 4 yrs.
NMSU (name changed later to Truman
State - 2 yrs.
Occupation: Since 1973 with Burlington Northern R.R. which merged with Santa Fe R.R. to form BNSF Railway

One thing that has really struck me when I started checking the family tree is how so many different individuals down through the years from so many parts of the country and from other countries can meet, marry, have children and end up with one single individual.

Any photos i may post here at Find A Grave, I consider them to be available for anyone to use in what manner they wish (to copy, download, or use on their memorial pages, personal family trees,to share, etc.)

The only thing I ask is that it not be for profit but rather for helping each other in your search for family.

I would be glad to transfer management of any memorials I have posted if anyone has a relationship or a closer relationship than what I have, just ask.

Looking for Headstones
Hello, My name is Anitra and I am looking to find out if you can or know someone who can and is willing to take a picture of two headstones that I am looking for at the Old Callao Cemetery. I was in Macon, MO myself in early Aug but didn't realize that I would have access to the cemetery to look for these graves myself. I am looking for the graves of Mehla Allen (d:1900) and Tom Allen (d:1896).

If you are able to assist me it would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at

Sincerely and greatfully,

Anitra Lane

Rose Lene
Rose Lene was the daughter of Joe Lene and Mary "Minnie" Conley, my great grandparents. Rose's daughter was my Mother Ruth McNabb Ullrich.

Rose married Milo McNabb who was my Mother's father. They were divorced and she married a Henry Fihler. Her last name was Fihler when she died in 1936.
I was in LaPlata Mo this year and went to Murray Cemetery in Elmer buti was unable to see Rose Lene Fihler and her sister Molly Lene Smith's cemetery stone since the grass was tall. I was very disappointed.

Joanne Scobee Morgan
RE: Nancy Ann Scobee
She sure did. Her first husband was Isaac J. Sizemore. Not sure when they were married, but in the 1880 census they were married and she was only 17. He died in March 1882. If they had any children, I don't know of them. Unfortunate that there is no 1890 census.

Ahh OK! that sounds better at 1884 than 1860. Just didn't think something was right. I am glad you figured it out. At the time I didnt think about the wrong birth date just knew something wasn't right.
