Sorry but I cannot respond to edits or suggestions unless you have an active contributor page! Please don't send me edits or suggestions unless your are willing to receive a reply in the normal way. Using a specific memorial for your owne personal message board does not allow me to respond to your suggestions because FAG's system thinks I am a bot and won't allow me to send messages using the "other" edit feature.|
We have had an especially hard year this year loosing some very loyal and lovable animals. May they all be together in a better place.
We lost our Australian Cattle dog, Blue Too, on April 6th, 2016. She was the best house dog, watch dog, varmit dog and cattle dog. I miss her so much since she kept me company when she wasn't needed elsewhere on the farm. She was my best buddy and the greatest THERAPY DOG. We also lost a very special Gelbvieh cow, Buttermilk, on April 16, 2016. She was so gentle that anyone could pet her. Our whole family will miss Blue Too and "Butters". We also had to let one of our good dogs, George, go on November 18, 2016. He was getting up there in years and had many health problems.
Please do not post death certificates or obituaries as photos on memorials that I have created or manage. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).
FOR THOSE TAKING PHOTOS PLEASE CHECK OUT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE: How to Get Great Photos for FindAGrave
And please make sure you are adding your photo to the correct memorial page!
PLEASE DO NOT ADD PHOTOS WITH "DATE STAMPS" and preferably without a WATERMARK (Your name), even though a watermark is allowed by FAG I just don't care for them.
FAG's Memorial Naming Conventions: Non-famous Memorials
1) If a hyphen or an apostrophe is part of the name, use the punctuation.
2) Use a PERIOD after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial.
3) Do not use any other punctuation within any Name Field.
4) Do not use Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names in any Name Field.
5) Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any Name Field.
How do I enter all married names for a woman's memorial when she was married more than once?
The last name is the name that is on the headstone. Include other married names as part of the biography section. The maiden name is only for her maiden name.
I would PREFER to see photos of the whole stone not just a close up of it. If a close up is necessary to read the names & dates then that would be fine. Please take photos at a RIGHT ANGLE to the face of a stone so upright stones do not look like they are falling over. No shadows of body parts, etc. across the stone if at all possible and no reflections of the person taking the photo. No cemetery photos with cars or people in them make for a much nicer photograph. I would still like to continue to photograph all the stones in the La Plata cemetery, La Plata, Macon County, Missouri as a tribute to my mother & a cousin who were both passionate family genealogist but are now deceased. Please give me the opportunity to do this little project myself. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I love to receive edits especially those that link memorials together or add info. but there are a few memorials that I prefer to use HTML coding in the bio. area to do links to parents/spouse. Please do not ask me to use the family link option on these memorials.
One U.S. farmer provides enough food and fiber for 154 people. Farm families make up about 2 percent of the U.S. population, yet provide for themselves and the other 98 percent. The average age of a farmer is 58.3 years and continues to climb with fewer and fewer young farmers entering the business due to the high cost of land, machinery and other input costs as well as all the government regulations that are being imposed on them. Farmers work 365 days a year with no benifits. They have to pay for their own health insurance, dental bills, etc. and they don't get to take sick leave or have a paid vacation. Farming is only for those who love doing it!
In 1896 William Jennings Bryan said it best, "Burn down your cities and leave our farms, and your cities will spring up again as if by magic, but destroy our farms and the grass will grow in the streets of every city in the country." As long as the North American farmer can supply our food at a price that allows us to spend the greatest part of our income for our cars and TV's and recreational items, our high standard of living can continue. But when our farmers can no longer produce our low-cost food, or when they have no economic incentive or ability to produce this food truly again, "the grass will grow in the streets of every city in the county."
Farmers are having their land, homes and livestock taken over and destroyed by large electric utility companies so they can build high voltage transmission lines across them. We are also losing our land to roads, urban & rural growth, etc. If this isn't stopped soon we will soon see mass starvation right here in the United States!
Dispite recent news reports farmers do not set a price for their livestock, corn, soybeans or anything else they raise unless it is sold to another farmer privately. Farmers taking livestock to the sale barns or grain to a local elevator have to accept what ever someone else is willing to pay them! When we go to buy seed, fertilizer, tractors, cars or trucks, food, etc. we have to pay what others are asking for those items. Farmers do not pass the cost of land, taxes, feed or fuel on to anyone else!

Would like permission to add your family photos to my genealogy files.
|Trudy J||Ronald William Sizemore (1964 - 2013) #70900497|
I notice that you have Thelma Marie Spainhour Garr (1929 - 2016) Find A Grave #171184425 as a wife to Ronald William Sizemore (1964 - 2013) Find A Grave#70900497. Ronnie is my cousin and I don’t believe she could be his wife. Ronnie was born in 1964 Thelma would of been 35 when he was born. I know Ronnie had a son and I don’t believe she’s his mother. Also on Thelma’s memorial there is listed a Donald R Sizemore as her husband, Ronnie is not mention in the write up on her memorial page.
Thanks you for keeping up with the memorials of my Sizemore family.

SOo sorry for your losses! Just seeing your contributor name, I see that it had changed, really sorry...
I just wanted to say Thank you for all of the hard work you have put into the work you do on Findagrave. I am connected to the Bragg/Estes family (which I believe is your husband's ancestors) and I have found a lot of very valuable information. Thank you so very much.
I volunteer in other areas and I know that it can be a LOT of work. Thanks again.
Cousin to your hubby.
