Hi, I am the daughter of Ray Ross and Nadine Smith, Jr. I was born in Great Bend, Kansas and raised in Larned, Kansas. I curently live in Marshall, Michigan and I'm always looking for relatives. My great-grandparents were John Franklin and Emma (Baldwin) Smith; John Joseph and Emma Cornelia (Strait) Becker; Benjamin Franklin and Lucy Jane (Allen) Roberts; and William Franklin and Janie Ellen (Moore) Bradley. My husband, Jon, was the son of William Everett and Sarah Glenn Keller. If you think you may be a relative please feel free to contact me. Look forward to hearing from you.
Here are some of the surnames I am currently researching: Smith, Becker, Roberts, Bradley, Baldwin, Strait, Allen, Moore, Hickman, Cook, Martini, King, White, Shumaker, Miller, Stull, Dawson, Anton, Thinnes/Tinnes, Jennings, Lemmon(s), Conkright, Fry, Wilson, Cabiness, Waggoner, and Barry just to name a few.
I'd be happy to transfer memorials as long as the individual is not related to me.

 | RE: Liberty Cemetery You're welcome. I see where you have another request in that same cemetery now. Is that going to be the end for that cemetery for awhile? It's about 20-25 minutes to drive there. | | | AMB
 | Thanks Thanks for adding the links and the photos to the HUFFORD memorials at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens in Ansonia. Much appreciated. If you are related to them, if I'm maintaining any that are even vaguely related to you that you'd like to manage, go ahead and use the "edit" tab to request a transfer. Generally, I transfer quite freely.

 | DeForest Child -- Bellevue, Eaton Co., MI I've been working on finding some requests at Bellevue Cemetery (aka Riverside Cemetery by most local societies and the township). I am trying to get more of the people in the Bellevue Riverside Cemetery "Birth,Death, and Burial" book which is in the library at Bellevue. They list her there as "Child of E. (1, 8,..) Died: 3-1-1889 Plot: 10C/99/- lived and died in Penfield." There is only one person whose name begins in the DeForest listing with an E. and that is Ellen A. (DeForest) Cook. The numbers (1, 8,..) stand for her age: one year and 8 months.
They give Ive Belle Church DeForest death date an 9-22-1942; two days after you have listed her. and they don't list her first name... But many people go by their middle names and don't list it on their memorials.
You can call the Bellevue Township Library to confirm this information. Their number is 269-763-3369. Or maybe the township hall would be more accurate, they would have the originals. Their hours are: M, Thur. (and another day either, Tues or Wed. I don't remember between 10 am and 12 pm. Good luck remembering...
Also, records stated that Jams T. didn't have a stone.
And so it goes...

 | RE: Transfers & Question Hi Kate Thanks so much for looking into this for me! Now I have a picture of Job's memorial, too! Awesome! Thank you! The picture you posted looks like this was a 4-sided stone. If so, do you know if the other two sides were blank?

 | Transfers & Question Hi Kate Thanks so much for the transfer of the 3 Bunn infants in Marengo Village Cemetery. They are the children of Job T and Ann Ganette Bunn.
You also added a picture of Clinton W Bunn (same cemetery) to a memorial that had been created by Frank Passic. Clinton was also the son of Job & Ann Ganette Bunn. Frank had listed that there was an inscription that stated that Clinton had died in the explosion aboard the USS Sultana in 1865. Problem is, Clinton died in Marengo in Oct 1869 of typhoid, not aboard the Sultana.
His FATHER, Job Bunn died on the Sultana. This makes me wonder whether the stone for Clinton also has some information about Clinton's Father, Job. I'm thinking that when Clinton died, they memorialized his father, Job on the stone, too? (according to Civil War documents, Job's body was never recovered). Do you save the photos you took? Could there have been more info on the back of the stone?
Your thoughts? Marnie | | | | [View all messages...] |
