I grew up in Waverly, Iowa & moved with my family down to Leavenworth, Kansas in 1993. |
I am a May 2008 graduate of Kansas State University and was actively involved with the marching band. I'm a huge fan of Kansas State football and hold season tickets.
One of my biggest interests is in Genealogy and I absolutely love History so its a perfect pairing. I'm fascinated with family histories.
Family names I'm interested in:
Bergman (in IA)
Brandt/Lampe (in IA)
Halweg/Friedrich (in IA)
Tjebkes (in IA)
Stelzer (in IA and MN)
Bohner (in IA and PA)
As for the photos I take for Find A Grave, if you would like me to transfer any memorials to you I would be more than happy to oblige as I am not interested in stacking up numbers for memorials managed. I think those that have that mindset are very rude people. The only memorials I will not transfer are those for my own family unless very distantly related. Also, if you would like a copy of the original photos posted to memorials please let me know as I am more than happy to send them to you.
CREATED MEMORIALS NOTE:
I will sometimes photograph other plot markers near the graves where I am fulfilling photo requests. If they have no memorial I create one for them and attempt to give them a story based on what I find on ancestry.com. If at any point you come across a memorial I've created for your ancestor and I have added information you DO NOT want on their memorial, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will gladly remove it. The same applies if there is something that you DO want added to their memorial.If I have included an obituary on any memorial page and you would like a clipping from the actual newspaper please let me know and I will accomodate.If I have added something you wish to be removed PLEASE BE NICE ABOUT IT when letting me know as I am not trying to upset anyone. I don't wish to be scolded like a child.

You are in luck!
The Midwest Genealogical Center has records from all over the US-that is how I have been pulling all my records from Virginia & North Carolina.
They are super nice, you can upload the images that you scan to a USB or print them there.
I have water aerobics M-F mornings and it is only another 6 miles from the pool for me.
Email me with what I can do to help you- you have been so kind to me.:-)
|KC Jayhawker||RE: Mt Muncie Requests|
Thanks for checking the burial locations on the folks I have at Mt. Muncie.
I believe that Kellar is the correct spelling, I know that his sons "Americanized" the spelling to Keller, so you could be correct, he may be listed in the book as Keller and the headstone may have that spelling as well.
I moved Otto Jenicke (1896-1896) to Greenwood-I am sure that I not find a headstone for him-it is sad what vandals have done over the years.
On Cyrus Kaiser, his name may have the spelling of Kaizer, Kizer or Kiser, although the correct spelling is Kaiser. When I rechecked the dates for Gottfried Kaiser, I am almost certain that he would be at Greenwood as well, so I moved him there. I know that he died in the city of Leavenworth. Greenwood cemetery was active during this time, so that has the highest probability.
Did you get your DAR application submitted?
If you need any help, I live close enough to the Midwest Genealogical Center that it is no problem if you need me to get some documents for you. Just email me what you need. :-)
I am in the process of working up 1 new Patriot, and two on the other side of the house, so I have to gather all the information from my parents back. I like to do supplementals that I can just hook on to family I have already submitted info on and can just add a generation.
THANK YOU again for all your assistance!
All the Best,
|KC Jayhawker||Schutz family|
That Schutz family has been all kinds of confusing!
I got the name Magaret from the census records. I went back and found the following information: Eliza Jane is the second wife of Joseph Schutz and not the mother of his children.
His first wife, was Margaret. Margaret is found in the 1870 census living in Kansas City Ward 2, Jackson, Missouri with the family. In the 1880 census, Joseph is shown as a widower living in Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas.
Great idea to check and see if it had been misspelled! I am so glad you found them, they belong with the Rohr family.
I will have to see what I can find in the Missouri records, I believe it is possible that Margaret is buried there.
Thanks so much for all your hard work and effort!
|KC Jayhawker||Amundsen & Reynolds|
