Hi, I have been doing family Genealogy as far back as I can remember. My Great Aunt Pauline had me walking in cemeteries as soon as I was old enough to walk. My aunt Pauline Myers died in 2000 but I still carry on with her research. |
This is a wonderful place to remember our loved ones and too pass along information to others. Coming from a military family I have been trying to record the graves of the Veterans, especially the civil war vets. Many of the old stones are gone but with a sight like this maybe they will not be forgotten. My daughter and I spend weekends finding old cemeteries that have been forgotten, (a lot of walking). We have also recorded cemeteries where all headstones are gone and the only records for these graves are recorded at the county library.
I want to thank Dave and Apple Dwiggins for the info on the Indiana Service men who were killed during World War II, and are buried at the Manila American Cemetery. See their web page here.
My grandma, Inez Rogers (Buried at Grandview Cemetery, Vigo Co. IN) died Aug. 7th 2009 if you have time please visit her memorial and leave a flower.

|Felicia (Foltz) Hoffman||New Cemetery|
Please remove New Cemetery that you put as being in Robinson it is called Robinson New Cemetery and is already on here. You also have duplicated memorials because of this so please remove and correct. Please and thank-you.

When we were at Swalley in August, 2012 we noticed that Daniel B Peyton's stone was in pretty bad shape. We got a replacement from the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the new stone is now in place. We were there on Oct. 3 and took a picture, which I'll also post on the site (I think we should leave the shot of the original stone in place, though). Thanks for all your work!

Thanks for the Singhorse transfers from the Miner Cemetery.
|Debra (Martin) & Gregg Schrader||Albert S. Squires|
If you look at Albert S. Squires' Headstone and Memorial #72435179 (Rowe Cemetery, Parke County, Indiana) you will see that your Robert S. Squir is incorrect and needs to be deleted.

What a pleasant surprise this morning to see that someone had taken the photo of H.M. Harlow's memorial marker from my request. Thank you so much! Rhoda Jones Foglesong Harlow Mapps (yes it appears she struggled keeping husbands alive!!!) is my Great (x3) Grandmother. We may never find her memorial after all these years but filling out her story around her has become a wonderful hobby. Thanks again.
