Bio Photo Land of my adoption, where the loved sleep folded in your flowers, would that day it were my destiny to increase the flood-tide of your glory, as it would be mine to share your fortune, for when my few days tremble to their close, i would sleep beneath your soil, where the drip of April tears might fall upon my grave and the sunshine of your skies would warm southern flowers to bloom upon me.

I think I was confused about the GW Shattles you were asking about. I think after studying it that you were referring to the one that was born in 1849 I believe to James Monroe and Suzanne Davidson Shattles. James was a brother to my ggg-grandfather GW Shattles. James and Suzanne named one of their sons GW Shattles. James, Suzanne, GW, Lucinda, Richard and Barbara are buried in Upson and Lamar counties. If you look it up through my Find A Grave, they are all linked. Should give you alot of info. I haven't researched James' line much. There is a Michael Black that is related through James and Suzanne on Find A Grave also. I think he is listed under my friends if you want to contact him. Stay in touch!!

I'm also looking for info on Lucinda's uncle John Kennedy, Jr married to a (??Cosiah) Durham that lived in the same area, at least for a while and then disappeared. If you come across anything please let me know!! Thanks and nice to meet a distant cousin!!
