Cemetery preservation is very important to me and I try to list from actual cemetery visits and various book listings. I have been working with Wayne Austin for the last 10 years as a volunteer contributor for his project.
Please, e-mail me with any corrections or additional information that needs to be posted at any Maury County Cemetery where you see my name via the edit option on the memorial.

If I have posted a close relative of yours let me know and I will transfer. Please use the edit option on the memorial for updates, corrections and questions, my responce will be much faster, I don't have to look up the memorial by name that way.

Bray Family
Thank you for linking the edits for the Bray family. I believe that according to the 1920-1930 census, Jasper and Delia now have all of their children, even though Delia was not able to keep all of them at home after her husband died.

RE: Felicia Baily Craig
Looks good...sad she was not laid to rest next to her husband in Tennessee, but that seems to have happened a lot back then. At least she's with family in Texas.

I'm still working on the idea that her grandparents, our Alexander & Phoebe Bailey, may have left TN for Texas. It seems crazy they'd both just fall off the face of Tennessee without some evidence. I thought maybe looking at deeds in Lewis County, but that will take some work at this distance.

Hope you are doing well cousin & Happy New Year!

The best I can tell is that she looks to be the daughter of Will and Sarah McBride b. Apr. 1879 in Lincoln Co., TN. William McBride m. Sallie Pitts 28 Dec 1876 in Lincoln Co. Hope this helps.

Hi cousin,

Just noticed on both of your memorials, it states both are thought to have died in Texas. I'm curious where you got that notion, as I'd love to explore the idea. The last record I have of them is in Lewis County. They were my 3rd g. grandparents.

Ambrose Hadley
Hi Mary,

I was very moved at finding my great-great grandfather's resting place. You listed him as Ambrose Haley, the only grave in the Haley Cemetery near Santa Fe, TN. I believe his name is Ambrose Hadley, rather than Haley, and that the cemetery was listed as Hadley in "They Passed This Way".

Thank you for posting this memorial. I've been looking for his grave for a while!!
