May/June 2015

I will be happy to add information and links to memorials that I manage.

Please use the EDIT tab on each memorial. I can usually get updates done within a day or two.

If your updates are taking longer to appear, then we are probably traveling and I will be getting to additions/corrections just as soon as I have internet access

SPECIAL "HOW TOS" (HELPS) FOR MY FELLOW FIND A GRAVE VOLUNTEERS USING HTML CODE:

HOW TO EXPAND YOUR BIO PAGE AS WELL AS YOUR INDIVIDUAL MEMORIALS TO FILL OUT THE SCREEN LEAVING LITTLE OR NO WHITE AREA TO THE RIGHT: Just type a line across the page at some point in the bio OR add a row of characters. Just make sure to leave your EDIT TAB IN FULL VIEW. Recheck before continuing.

HOW TO CREATE BOLD TEXT:
To create bold text in your Find A Grave memorials or on your home page you need to USE SOME HTML CODING by first type < and next TYPE the letter b with no space and then type > NEXT TYPE THE TEXT THAT YOU WANT IN BOLD PRINT and at the end of what is to be in bold TYPE < no space then / then b then > with no spaces in between them.

HOW TO CREATE ITALICS TEXT:
You can also do the same thing with italics by switching out the b and replace with i (for italics) using the same procedure. Or you can do both bold & italics by adding both the corresponding HTML codes one following the other with no space. Experiment with this until you get it right. Try it!

HOW TO CREATE A LINK TO ANOTHER FIND A GRAVE MEMORIAL:
Sometimes you may want to link to another memorial especially when there is no way to normally link the memorials - use the following HTML Code:
< a h r e f = "http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid= number "> name < / a >

NOTE there are no spaces in the code except one after a before href. I had to make spaces so you can read this. Then find the memorial you want to link to, copy the number from the bottom of the memorial and paste that number where you see the word number - then delete the word number being careful not to remove any other notations. Then place the name of the person you want in place of the word NAME. Carefully delete the word name. Then click SAVE CHANGES. Always check to make sure the link has taken place and it is to the correct memorial.

MOST IMPORTANTLY Create a copy of your most important memorials to your computer hard drive especially direct family members in case something happens to the system plus save a copy to an external hard drive. Better be prepared than angry!

Trying to find him by finding his wife, Maria. Do you know when she died?
Do you know if she is buried with him? Could they be buried in a VanNote plot?

Thank you so much for the generous transfer of the memorial for my great uncle. I am so happy to have him in the correct cemetery with my great aunt.

RE: Bessie Estella Knapp Fike
You're welcome. I photographed all of the headstones around Bessie's. No Arthur! Also, photographed Harriet's but can't add it because the memorial has reached its limit for photos. Thanks for your note. Cindy

Harriett Fike at Terra Alta
Hi,
I photographed the headstone of Harriet Fike at the Terra Alta Cemetery to fulfill your photo request. Unfortunately, I cannot post it because the memorial already has the maximum photos that can be posted to it, unless someone purchases a sponsorship for it. Alternately, maybe someone will remove one of the photos already posted in favor of the headstone photo.

I'll hang on to the photo, in case I can post it later. Cindy

Anthony Earley
Hi,

I found the marriage record of Anthony Early and Catherine Mackattree which was listed in Family Search. The marriage took place in Scioto Co. OH. The date listed was 4-2-1818. The 1850 census record listed Anthony and Catherine Early having 4 children-2 daughters (Susannah, Louisa) and 2 sons (Marshall, Andrew J.) Early.

The Names of Early and Earley were used. Catherine was used on the marriage record. If you want copies of the marriage or any other information, please contact me.

Famille DOURIF Henri Jean
Bonjour,
Bien cordialement
Christine Birot
