Within a few minutes of a friend telling me about Find A Grave, I found my great-great grandparents' gravestone in Hopedale Cemetery, Christian Co., MO. They were Gabriel and Talitha Reynolds McMullin. First I let out a shriek! then I sat looking at the picture, tears falling down my face. I never thought I'd see their final resting place. I've added old photos of their family to their pages. I'm still hoping to make contact with someone there. (Success!) Thank you to their visitors for honoring them with flowers and tokens, they are appreciated. |
Since that day I have found other ancestors on Find A Grave. A special thank you to M. Correll and "jtf" for so many of the Wayne County, KY memorials and photos. The photos taken by Ronald Bicknese in Bills Creek Cemetery are also very special treasures. I will always be thankful for his effort to find my York 4th great-grandparents in that remote cemetery. Thanks to Robie Prater for his many photos and book HACKWORTHS AND RELATED FAMILIES in Floyd County KY.
Sincere appreciation to God's Special Angel for sponsoring our Mommaw and Poppaw Estes. They were sweet, gentle people. Thanks to all who have left flowers and tokens for them, and for other family and friends.

Darla, asking if you would transfer Raymond and Irene Wiles Haught's memorial to me. Don and I would appreciate it and thanks for all that you do on findagrave.
Hi Darla, I was wondering if you would be willing to transfer some of my families memorials over to me please. I was hoping by doing this I could get it all together then contact the right family member for each person and transfer it to them if they would like to manage it themselves. Thank You. Like: grandma Carrie, Grandpa Andy, Jewells, any of mom's siblings. Any and all would that you would transfer would be very much appreciated.

Iona's mother Julia and my grandmother were sisters. Having moved to CA when I was 2 Years old, I missed growing up around extended family. Thanks to you, I was able to "meet" Iona and get a glimpse of who she was. Thank you Darla!

Ok thx...Give me a few days to get this together and I will write back to you. I believe that this LaDawna Warren meant Buffalo Springs in Lincoln County. I never found or heard of Buffalo cemetery in Pulaski County myself....I will get back to you soon.....Mark Warren

I see you have a few Warrens who I am related to. You have a George Thomas Warren which his father Julius Franklin Warren is my great great uncle. Im told he is buried in a place called Buffalo Cemetery in Pulaski County. Would you or anyobe know where this cemetery is? Or is there even such a name?. I was in contact very briefly with someone with the name LaDawna R. Warren and cant seem to find out where she went to. When I sent her an e-mail it comes back as a invalid e-mail address. I will share any of my info on the Warrens if anyone is intrested...Please let me know if you can help....Mark Warren email@example.com
|Spaceman Spiff||RE: Confusion|
Roxanne and I had corresponded, but it was back in 2011. I correspond with hundreds of other researchers, off and on, sometimes receiving a dozen or more emails per day pertaining to genealogy, all from different branches of my family. If I'm not in a current "conversation" with a given person, and it's not someone I correspond with regularly, there's no way I can remember everyone's name. Thanks again for the info.
|Spaceman Spiff||RE: Iona Adams Griffin|
OK, I searched a while longer, and found her under Roxanne Lee Schnelle. I found the memorial you created for Iona Adams Griffin as well. Sorry for the confusion.
|Spaceman Spiff||RE: Iona Adams Griffin|
Sorry, but memory fails me as far as the names you mentioned. I was able to run a search in my email and found some of your & my earlier correspondence from last November, but I don't recall who Roxanne is. Searching through my email, I can't find her, and I don't know what her last name is.
