"No matter how long a person lives, they touch and change the lives of others." - Father Aiden
Like many others, I found Find A Grave while searching for my ancestors. Although I currently live in South Florida, I am Indiana born and raised and will forever be a Hoosier at heart. I visit family in Indiana twice a year and always make time to stop at as many cemeteries as time will allow. (yes, my family thinks I'm a bit strange.)
I hope my efforts will perhaps help someone in their ancestry search. I also hope to help immortalize forgotten folks and some of these great old gravestones before they crumble away forever.
Some of the surnames in my family line are: Pratt, Churchill, Miller, Friend, Cook, Calentine, Strong, Himelick, Veal, Reeves, Swihart, Eaten, Bundy, Overton, Myers, Thomas, Tombaugh, and Shively.
I am also researching my husband's family ancestry including the following surnames: Habermann, Schafer, Tuohy, Kaiser, Davis, Minogue, McGrath, and Shenefield.
Please let me know if you need someone transferred to you. Also, please let me know if I've made any errors in my submissions, and I will correct them as quickly as possible.
Thanks for all the work you've done here on Find a Grave. I've found that you created a memorial for an ancestor of mine. Samuel Beckner was my 3rd great grandfather. I have some things that I would like to add to his memorial so if you would be so kind as to transfer his memorial over to me, I would really appreciate it.
George Swihart /Swinehart I noticed George Swihart /Swinehart is your 4th great grandfather, well he's my 4th great uncle. Your 5th great grandparents are Peter Swinehart & Anna Mary Swinehart. I have no idea why the spelling was changed from Swinehart to Swihart but I do know that thru history the spelling had changed many times.

Help to clarify this and put Mary in correct cemetery is greatly appreciate. Thank you.
Transfer memorial Hi Susan, I have just determined that memorial 6349895 Mary A Potter is my great great great grandmother. I would like to add information to her memorial and was wondering if you would be kind enough to transfer ownership to me. Thanks Christa Smith
C.E. Nash I believe his dod should be 1872. Charles is the first husband of Rebecca Huff. She is my great grandmother. He is mentioned in the book "These Men Have Seen Hard Service, The First Michigan Sharp Shooters in the Civil War".
Transfer Requests Susan - Can you please transfer management of memorials for these ancestors to me: Collins Family members @ Reames-Norton Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan - Conrad Collins - #110451564 Sarah Richardson Collins - #110451547 Catherine Collins - #110451519 Mary Collins - #110451582 Conrad & Sarah are my 3X great-grandparents. My Mother has additional historical and biographical information on the Collins family and their Cass County Michigan pioneer homestead that she would like to have added to their pages and we believe it would be too much of an inconvenience to you to ask you to make all the changes when you have so many memorials to handle already.
John Means and the following members of his family in Riverside Cemetery, Dowagiac, Michigan: John Means - #122298450 Elizabeth Means - #122298510 Daniel Means - #122298621 James Means - #122299647 Margaret Means - #122299695 Rachael Means - #122299761 John and Elizabeth Means are my 2X great-grandparents. My Mom grew up in Dowagiac and we still visit Riverside Cemetery regularly. Every year we place an American flag on the grave of John Means in honor of his military service during the Civil War. My mother has acquired a significant amount of genealogical information on the Means family which we would like to use to update their memorials and correct some information. Thank you for all your hard work.
