Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am another lover of history and genealogy. After 25 years of research, I have a pretty good idea of how I came to be, and it's been fascinating!

The majority of the memorials that I have posted are of people who are related to me, and in many cases I know more about them than what I have written in FindaGrave. If you want to ask about them, use either the Edit button on their page or leave a message here.

Most the photos I have posted however are on memorials created by others, and they are of people who are not related to me. The "photos" are from sources published 1922 and earlier, which puts them in the public domain. I put them up in hopes that actual relatives will find them and be able to use them. Note: If you wish to know the source of a photo, click on it for an enlarged version. I write the source in the photo's caption which appears underneath.

If you find a picture of one of your ancestors that I posted, you are free to copy it for your personal use and/or include it in your family tree on Please however ask for permission if you intend to use a photo in a published work (and thanks to the folks who have bothered to ask me).

One request: Please do NOT post death certificates on my memorials.

Two of my favorite verses: "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17) and "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)

Hi I was very shocked to find the information and picture of Maria A. Agur, It is so amazing to see picture of her, I am very thrilled and wanted to thank you so much for your effort doing this. When I was working on my family and I wonder if there are any one that might help to find the obituary on Maria Cutter Agur (Maria A.'s mother) She died there and her body was sent to Arlington, Mass to be buried by Luke Avery Agur and some of kids there.

Teri Gruning
thank you
I've been following the Gruning, Whites, Roehrich, Hankins, Cottrell, Holman family and had the photo of the Holman Wedding on an old document my aunt made showing several generations . The paper was printed from an old dot matrix printer and had definitely seen better days. Thank you for finding another copy .

Best regards

I wanted to see if I could have your permission to use your photo on the GREGG Ancestry Closed Group on Facebook?
I sure would appreciate it.

Also, are you related to him?

Caroline Butler Clark Clark
I just read your bio, so...
2nd wife of James Washington and later married his brother Amos. Her step daughter - JW Clark's daughter- married James K Polk Butler, Caroline's brother. I know that the parents were Larkin and Martha Miller Butler (I have the marriage certificate from Meriwether County and saw the later probate ad listing her as his wife)Other than that I cannot find anything - if you know anything about the Butlers, I would love the info.
Thank you.
