I have been researching my own genealogy (mostly east coast) since I was about 11 with my great aunts. Am in Iowa now and take great pleasure in researching family histories for friends and their families. I cover the Dallas, Guthrie and Madison (when I can) counties of Iowa. Find A Grave is a great site for leads and pictures. Encourage all who admin a memorial to post the OBITs or documented facts about the persons they have added, and linking the memorials to their relatives. Everyones work here is very much appreciated. I am not into 'racking up the big numbers' and am happy to make updates quickly or transfer memorials if asked(to family members for ones other than my own family).|

RE: Memorial# 137869847
There being no 'DePugh' graves listed on Find A Grave in Lackawanna County, but lots of 'DePew' graves entered, I have gone with DePew instead of DePugh for Hettie's maiden name. If I'm wrong, please let me know.

Thank you for the heads up on Hattie. This was a common case that I usually catch, but failed to in this instance. Her son George was the informant on the death certificate and gave his parent's names rather then the deceased parents' names. I found a number of her children's marriage license applications and the clerks recorded Hattie DePew / DePugh almost equally.
Now, with her maiden name as DePugh, does that still agree with your family that records show her mother as Margaret Griffin (1832-1915)? If so, who was her father, if you know?
Thanks so much for the note,

If I haven't asked you already, I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery and/or grave marker photos on my family website. Check it out at http://freienmuth-shortridge.com/ernst/buchheim-cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Your Welcome! I will be back to Maple Grove soon if you have any other requests.
Thank you for your help.
|Mémoriaux Atlantique||Dates ...|
Depending on who the person is ... My ancestors DOB and DOD dates were acquired through fed & state gov't records, church records, census records ... I really am trying to find out where I come from ... know it sounds silly, but before i leave this earth, i want to try and understand the lives and struggles my ancestors lived through ...
I am related to the Williams Family of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Jones/Williamson Family of Delaware/Maryland, and numerous "Polish" families of Pennsylvania & Delaware ... Which family members are you connected to me?

If you are referring to my ancestors from Del-Mar-Va, I have been doing research on my family and have been using this as a tool to help me with my family tree ... If you could help me fill in the blanks, I would greatly apprieciate the help ... Thanks - Roger

Sorry, I live half way across the country from this cemetery. I did a lot of sleuthing to finally find a person who lived next to this cemetery who happily agreed to take the photos for me. The cemetery is locked and on private property.
I still have the DVD she sent of the photos and have looked at it again, but it appears to me to clearly show 1753. I will attempt to send an attachment of it by way of your e-mail. Are you certain of the date you have?
