Hi I am Bill Moryto in Suffield CT. I have a lead on a Great grand uncle who's name is MARCEL MORYTO. Rumors are he came from Poland and joined the US Army. Family in Poland are unaware of his fate and anxious to find his final destination.
He is buried in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Section 2 Site 11211. Is it possible, if you are still active in this interest to get a photo of the stone?
Grove, Absalom Absalom's grave is not in the Cypress Hills National Cemetery proper. It is in the middle of the public Cypress Hills Cemetery next door at 833 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, NY. The public cemetery has a section set aside for Union Soldiers killed during the war. His marker # 1235
I added Absalom to the other Cypress Hills cemetery under Find A Grave Memorial# 118050644
RE: Cypress Hills Cem transfer Hi there---hmm...bear with me since I'm new to this! WHen I looked him up, there was no actual photo of the stone, rather the dates. It had your name attached as posting so I thought you managed it. I have no plot info but will call the cem. and send it to you - no worry! He's not going anywhere :)
Cypress Hills Cem transfer Hi Trevor--thanks for posting the info on my relative, William B. Rice. I was hoping you would transfer the ownership over to me as I'd like to manage it and add some pics and info. Many thanks---BArbie
Cypress Hills Cemetery There are two Cypress Hills cemeteries listed and they are right down the street from each other according to the map. Are they the same cemetery? I want to add some burials, but want to make sure I get the right one.
If they are the same, can you contact findagrave to combine them?
