Incorrect Photo and Data
Hi Wendy,

When you mapped the Bay City IOOF Cemetery in Bay City, Oregon and/or photographed gravestones you created a Find A Grave Memorial page entitled, "Earl Morrison Bennett 1897-1978." Unfortunately, you took the data from a gravestone for an Earl M Bennett 1897-1978 and incorrectly linked that page along with the gravestone photo to Earl Morrison Bennett's parents and siblings.

The Primary Source for this issue is Earl Morrison Bennett's signed and registered US WWI Draft Registration Card giving Earl's date of birth as 11 June 1899. These two Earl's aren't the same individual.

Please revisit this problem and unlink Earl M Bennett (1897-1978) and photo from the following folks:

Parents of Earl Morrison Bennett:
Milton H Bennett (1863 - 1941)
Margaret E Trotter Bennett (1879 - 1959)

Sibling of Earl Morrison Bennett:
Ross Craig Bennett (1904 - 1988

To date, I've not been able to locate any death and burial information for Earl Morrison Bennett. Many thanks in advance for your help in getting this correction put in place.

Sincerely,
Robin Glaze-Smith
Bennett Family Researcher

Jacob Deyoe
Thank you Wendy.
Just a few questions about your info below:
Do you have a copy of the Death Pages you refer to that you could forward to me? Also, I have nothing on a Dom Deyoe, do you have anything further on him? Dates?

I have Lydia J Hahn

Your comment was:
I believe this is the same Jacob Deyoe that is mentioned in the Washington Death pages as being the father of Dom Deyoe, and Elsie (Deyoe) Robbins. (That information also shows Jacob's wife as Lydia.) I have not, however, been able to positively link these people to this particular Jacob

John Delbert and Ella Wilcox
I want to thank you for posting these two. In 1853 John's father and mother came by Oregon trail to settle in the Salem area. I was able to locate Thomas James Wilcox's grave who was his father at Aumsville cemetery and his son Hollis W Wilcox is at North Yamhill cemetery also. I knew where John D had died but did not find where he or Ella had been buried. Thank you again for allowing me to know where they are.

James Herbert Headstone Photo Request
I volunteered to fulfill your photo request at the Fir Law Cemetery in Washington County, Oregon. I was denied the access to take pictures of the headstones in the cemetery by the Staff. The reason, I didn't have permission from the family, or was not a family member. So, in order to take a photo of the headstone for you, I must have a written request, printed, that I can submit to Cemetery Staff. If you will write a brief note, explaining your relationship to the deceased, and permission to photograph the headstone, I would be happy to fulfill your request.

Normally I would just wonder the cemetery, and take pictures without approaching the staff, but there are 4000 interments, so I unfortunately need their help in locating your specific headstone.

As soon as I get your message, I will go and take photos.

Thanks for YOUR help.

RE: Joseph Schweiger
Thank you Wendy:

I would manage the page if you would like, even though I'm not a direct descendant.
Thank you for your contribution and quick response to my suggestion.
