I became involved in genealogy when my oldest child needed one last Boy Scout Badge and Family History seemed easy. I called my aunt who was the keeper of my dad's family "flame" to get some information. My son got his badge and I got hooked, (now I'm the keeper of that "flame") That was about 35 years ago. I am a widow now with 4 children and 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The photo was taken when I was 18, so don't let it throw you. I hope my children will someday be interested. I believe it is important to keep a record of where our ancestors are buried ( but please ask permission to use my photo's) and this is just the place. Thanks. (I have recently had a Stroke, so please forgive my slowness.) Robin|

It has taken so long because I did a book on the Providence church history and the cemetery. I guess you can say it is almost compleated now. I also have had some health issues. You did have four or five names that I didn't have. The Farris family. Did you have anymore information on them?
Some of the information you added to Providence Baptist Cemetery (Buckridge Cemetery) is incorrect. Some people you have listed there are not buried there. I done a lot of research on this and a lot of them are my family and have been a member of this church all my life. I do thank you for adding information and for being interested. I came about doing this the same as you did. My daughter did genealogy as a 4-H project and I took over from there. I have been doing this for almost twenty years now. Maybe we can exchange information on down the road. Take care

There are 13 children with that (second) wife. He had a first wife with whom he had about 3 children. I have never found her grave yet(and only one of those children's graves so far. So he is the father of about 16 children. The second wife was the mother of 13 children.donna

Thanks for letting me know, because I do keep check to see if my additions and/or corrections have been made.
I wish you well with your surgery. I had to have cataract surgery a couple of years ago on both eyes, and now I see so much better. I went from trifocals into reading glasses.

re: Find A Grave Memorial# 6482131 , Brattleboro, VT.
Um, a lot of folks have Nathaniel, (born 1729),son of Obadiah and Rachel (Parker) Sawtell, married to Hanna(h) Gunn. However, the following NEHGS record clearly states that Nathaniel's father at that marriage was RICHARD Sawtell.
"The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, 1847-2011 [found on www.ancestry.com]
about Hannah Gunn
Father's Name:John Gunn
Mother's name:Hannah Root Gunn
Marriage Date:4 Aug 1757
Spouse Name:Nathaniel Sawtell
Spouse Father Name:Richard Sawtell
Volume Number:126 "
This would call into question whether Nathaniel (Obadiah), who has your virtual cemetery entry in Find A Grave Memorial# 6482131 for Brattleboro, VT could possibly be the same man and whether his dates of death and the entries in the 1790 and 1800 Federal censuses are in fact Obadiah's son. Because "The History of Charlestown, New Hampshire, Genealogies, Saunderson, Rev Henry H, Claremont, NH, 1876" on www.archive.org, gives only Nathaniel's dob and parentage and is more complete for other people, this leads to the probability that this Nathaniel died in infancy or childhood.

I have a memorial for Barbara also. I take photos of the memorials in Glen Rest Memorial Estate cemetery in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. It seems your memorial (67042908)and mine are the same.
Do you think we could combine them? I have pictures of her marker.
I can transfer my site to you for you to manage and add all your information. Or I can add your info to my site. I just want you to know that I am in no way related--I just take photos and upload them.
In either case, one of these sites should be deleted since it is a duplicate.
Let me know what you think.
