Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years.

I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at www.mssdar.org/noahcole.

Susanna Brockway Petts
On Susanna's memorial page I see three photographs. The first photogarph is for MR. James Patts, died April 6, 1837 aged 81. The second photograph shows both James and Susanna's stones.
The third photograph shows Susanna's stone and reads In Memory of Mrs. Susannah, wife of Mr. Ja. Patts, who died May 17, 1819. Aged 55.

Susanna Petts
Confused regarding the message you left me.
The photo of Susanna Petts gravestone clearly states she towas the wife of James Petts and that she died in 1819. I don't see a photo of any other stone for Susanna that states she died in 1837.

James Chappell
Linda,You stated James Chappell was your direct ancestor.James Chappell is my 7th or 8th great grandfather. His grand daughter Elizabeth Chappell daughter of John Chappell and Mary Hines Chappell married Robert Cryer Bailey on January 19 1789.What puzzles me is there is no record of when Elizabeth died??Robert died on February 1 1851 in Monroe county Mississippi.Would love to discuss information we both have as there are a few puzzling facts on my tree.
Thank You

#18308299 - This is Annie Ethyl Mansfield Fry - born in October of 1889 rather than 1899. She is 10 years old on the 1900 census, so you might edit this record. Thanks.

RE: Harrison Vestal
Sorry, I haven't found anything. There were several Vestal families in the area. Some of them moved west. I think she is buried at Fall Creek. She and Alexander were some of the founders of that church. I was hoping to come across some land records for her, but haven't found anything to date.

RE: Roseberry picture on Esmond page!
Thanks Linda. Sorry to be so late, I've been dealing with mom in the hospital and nursing center. (We broke her out yesterday!!) Maybe I can get back to a more normal routine now.

Obituaries
Hi Linda,
I was wondering if you have access to any obituary or you just happened to have some. I noticed you sent several to Diane. I'm looking for a few with no success & thought if you saw fit, could help me out. If not, no problem.
Plz let me hear from you,
Warm wishes,
Sue
