Hello. I am writing in reference to the memorial here for Lieut. Isaac A. Bushong #22048794. He is my father's great-great grandfather, and he is out connection from Texas back to Virginia. I am very knowledgeable of our Bushong genealogy, and it would be most appreciated if I could be given the responsibility to manage this memorial of my grandfather.

My super helper LJH came through once again. Last name was Jamard.

Hi Scott, I posted a memorial for this gentleman who is buried in the Confederate section at Old City Cemetery here in Lynchburg. Was wondering if you might have him in your records or if I have his name spelled incorrectly as he is not listed under this name in the Diuguid records. He is on the kiosk at the entrance.
Thanks for your help,
|Koda ||RE: John Henry Martin|
I don't have an answer to that. I've included some of the info on the grave Memorial. Maybe you can determine which hospital he died in. All I have is Richmond, Independent Cities, Virginia, USA.

Thanks for the transfers of John Carter 11721153 and William Cain 11718084, both resting in the Mass Confederate Grave in Longwood Cemtery, Bedford, VA.
Of the 500 soldiers resting here, only the names of 140 are known.
Thanks for all your efforts at F/G.

Hi Scott, in my continuing efforts to get a memorial and photo posted for all of the soldiers in the Confederate section of Old City here in Lynchburg, I have come upon another quandry. I found a marker for a T Wells of the Irish Battalion here in Virginia. He could have been your Theophilus as I have seen a reference for the Irish Battalion also being called the 1st Virginia Infantry Battalion. If you think they are the same, I will remove my memorial and post the photo to your memorial.
|Mary Thomason-Morris||Robert Atkinson Gibson's father|
Rev. Robert Atkinson Gibsons father is the Rev. Churchill J. Gibson (1819-1892) buried in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. Rev. Churchill Jones Gibson married Lucy Atkinson (1815-1894) also buried in Blandford Cemetery. The Churchill J.(d 1854) may be his sibling or his cousin. (FYI-Lucy's sister married George Harrison Burwell of 'Carter Hall' in Clarke County--that is how I got connected) Mary Thomason-Morris, archivist, Clarke County Historical Assoc.
