My home is circa 1784. Its situation is such that it fell in the line of battle during the conflict between the States. When my father died, I was too early at the cemetery for the appointment concerning the necessary arrangements. To pass the time I paid a visit to the antique shop close by. Displayed there was a book which possessed a title that gave me the idea that my home may be mentioned within. Upon opening it, the pages fell directly to a description and photograph of my old place. It was not intended for the purpose, but the volume became a much worn field guide as I sought to visit and photograph other antebellum homes in the vicinity. I pursued that objective with interest and vigor. This caused me to notice the old churches en route and I began to photograph them. Behind the churches were cemeteries. Cemeteries that I found to be serene and sublime, full of lore. In turn they led me here and I stayed.|

Hi, George! I'd love to see it/post it, but it doesn't appear to have made it to my mailbox. It didn't land in my spam folder, either. Please try again? Thank you!

Please do ask for any other transfers that you want and I'll be happy to oblige you.

I saw that you transfered a grave site to me but it is not the William John Owen that is my Great Grandfather. This one is buried in St. Paul's Cemetery in Alexandia Virginia. I believe the John Owens you transfered is in Mount Rest in LaPlata, MD. Although I believe that line of Owens is probably related, it is not my direct line and I do not have any additional information on him. Thank you though for being willing to transfer my relative.

William John Owen is my Great Grandfather. I had trouble locating his grave since both his father and his son are buried in Charles County, MD. I have more information about him and would like to add it. I have started having memorials of my own but am only doing family. If you wish to transfer it to me, I would love that or I can provide the information but would like for it to be known that it is proven by family.
Also, William had two wives. One is Lavina Highfield born 1832. I can't find her anywhere but I found a census that in 1880, she would in Baltimore City, Md. Could you check and see if she is in this cemetery with William John. Not sure of date of death.

Hi George... I see that you added to my ancestor Hiram O'Bannon that he had been a member of the 12th Virginia Calvary... was wondering if you could send me something with that info on it. As you seem very educated on the subject of the Civil War... I have also been looking for info about Alfred O'Bannon's service in the Civil War? I have found both men's names mentioned on a website but no details. Would appreciate what ever you can share.
