Powell Creek Cemetery
I ran across these people while photographing a cemetery in Boone County, West Virginia, and think they are part of your Holley family: Fred Holley 120380086; Carrie Powell Holley #120571858; C.W. Holley 22505647; Delphia Camp Holley 120573978. I believe Carrie Powell Holley is a cousin to your Nora Belle Powell Wolford. Two other cemeteries to look at are Powell Cemetery (with the "creek" on it) and Kentucky Knoll, both in Boone County and full of relatives. I have not finished Powell Cemetery, but there are quite a few posted. Thought you may be interested.

RE: Mitchell William Davis
Thanks for the transfer. I have moved everything from the duplicate memorial to the one you created and it has all the links. I have requested that the duplicate be deleted. Thanks again and have a great day!

Mahalia (Chapman) Black (1854 - 1941)
Hello Angela,

Perhaps no one has taken a photo of her grave because you have her name spelled wrong. It is Mahala not Mahalia.
Please fix this typo.
Thank You,
Debbie

question about Sarah Mays Gillespie
Hello,
1st may I say thank you for all your Find-A-Grave work? It is so important to those of us who are researching from a distance.
I have a question about the information listed about Sarah Mays Gillespie who is buried at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in Cleveland Co, NC, USA.
The info lists her as the widow of (w/o) Berry Ezell Hughes. I have been wrong MANY times, but I believe Mr Hughes was married to Sarah's daughter, Martha Jane Gillespie. Berry's records indicate that he died as a prisoner of war at Ft Delaware, a "Yankee Prison" of some negative report. Martha Jane apparently died in child birth of what seems to be their only daughter, Elmira Melissa "Malissie" Hughes who, in turn, married John Jackson Philbeck (JJ...also buried at Mt Pleasant). My husband is the great grandson of this union. As of late, we are unable to find the grave of "Malissie" but we are fairly confident that she is in an unmarked grave beside John Jackson in the Mt Pleasant cemetery.
You opinion is greatly appreciated, as fresh eyes make all the difference in genealogy work. Also, I note that you have the Haas family as an area of interest in your research. Is this the Haas family from the Earl and Blacksburg areas? I am a member of the Mintz Clan of the same area and there are connections with the Haas and Mintz families.
Again, thank you for any feedback you have about the above topics. I appreciate your time.
