Bio and Links
Bio Photo My sister Ann Manley Reid Hamlin and I started searching for our ancestors in 1978 before all the automation took place. We enjoyed visiting the court houses and cemeteries where our relatives live. Just getting back into genealogy now in 2012 to document what we found and get new information. We are descendants of Samuel Watson Reid (1831-1902) g-grandfather of the Steele Creek area of Charlotte and Manley's of Carnesville, GA.

Current genealogy projects:
1. Volunteer indexer for the 1940 Federal Census
2.Photo Documenting (with the help of my husband) tombstones in Mooresville, Iredell county, NC and listing on
-- Glenwood Memorial Cemetery Mooresville
-- Willow Valley Cemetery Mooresville
-- Green Acres Mooresville
-- Berea Baptist Church Mooresville
-- Rocky Mount United Methodist
-- Fair View United Methodist Church Mt Mourne
-- Iredell Memorial Gardens Statesville

Easter Thank You
In the event that I have not thanked you, personally, for the transfers that you have provided me with, I wish to do so at this time.

Didn't think that retirement and providing day care for my-now-5 month old Grandson would be so taxing, yet fun. It has allowed me some time to work on my genealogy project, and Find a Grave project, that you have been a tremendous help.

Happy Easter, be safe, have fun and Thank You.

Your Work
I just wanted to say how impressed I was with your work and desire to work on some of these large cemeteries. Some have been reluctant if not totally resistant to giving location information to volunteers. You are doing a valuable service. Thank you.

Re: Buena Heyerdahl
You're very welcome. Luckily, I already had the photo. I had taken the marker photo for Stella and a photo of the plot recently and seeing your request for Buena reminded me that I had a Heyerdahl photo to add. When I looked up the plot record for Stella, I discovered that Buena was also in the same plot.

Blair Jenkins
Our church records indicate that Blair Jenkins was buried at St. Luke's. I believe he is buried in an unmarked grave between Hugh Jenkins, Hugh's wife Christie and Christie's mother Margaret Waddell. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Blair is now listed on our cemetery map. We are going to probe the plot just to make sure that someone is actually buried there.

HI - I need another pic. William Shumake Find A Grave Memorial# 69350724 (glenwood). He shares a marker with his wife Joann Shumake Find A Grave Memorial# 69350752. Would you please add the pic to her memorial. Thanks as always!

Blair Jenkins
I saw the death certificate and it does show that he was buried at St. Luke's on Jan. 15 1931. That is curious. I will let you know what I find.

Blair Jenkins
This is puzzling. I have a cemetery map showing all recorded graves regardless of whether or not there is a headstone, and a spreadsheet with names and plot numbers. There is no record for Blair Jenkins. Do you know when he died? If there is someone in our graveyard that we don't know about I really need to know where they are.

I will go back through my records and search the map to see if I may have inadvertently missed putting him in the spreadsheet.

Would you add your picture from Find A Grave Memorial# 50537534, Elitha Cornelius to that of her husband, William Osborne Cornelius Find A Grave Memorial# 125790583. It is a memorial marker for him, but they share a marker. THANKS!

You put in a request for a photo of the headstone of Blair Jenkins in St. Luke's Episcopal church cemetery in Lincolnton, NC. We do not have a record of Blair Jenkins being buried here. We have a Hugh Jenkins, but no record of Blair. Could Blair be the first or middle name? I am assuming that Blair was a man. Is this correct?
