When looking for my grandfather I was led to this site & I have gotten hooked. The site gave me answers & helped me discover family that I never knew I had. I have gotten genealogy 'fever' and feel blessed that I am discovering information about my family.|
I owe a big "Thank You" to the many Find A Grave volunteers who have helped me locate family members & taken photos of headstones for me.
All of my memorials are family members and close friends and the memorial is always under construction since I add information as I find it. This is a way to honor & remember those who have been here before us. This is also a way for me to share information in the hopes that others may find their family members as I did. Please contact me if you have any questions/additions to my memorials and as a special bonus we may find that we are related.

I just found this Findagrave memorial. I was thinking of Mr Estes today and thought I would look for him. He was my piano teacher for many years. I first started taking lessons from him when I was about 7 years old. That was at his house in Aurora. He was also a florist and ran a green house. Then he moved to Mt Vernon and I continued with him for a while after that. I think he stopped teaching piano. Anyway, he transferred me to Mr Marcus Peterson back in Aurora. I think I was probably in about the 8th grade at that time. I knew his wife, Mary, and I think I remember they had three children. And I think they also had a Dalmatian dog.
You are right, this information was given to me by someone else and I did not even look at the Find A Grave #'s to see that they were the same numbers. I will have Sherry to get me the correct Find A Grave # for James Coffer and will let you know.
Can you connect James W Coffer Find A Grave # 39325202 to his spouse Emily Alice Hursh Coffer Find A Grave # 39325202 as spouse. This is my great grand parents.

I do have access to Ancestory - my tree is private but I found yours and I will add you to mine. Please let me know if you find anything there that is incorrect. Are you familiar with the fact that Lucy Jane had a sister named Rachel? Rachel Ellen Haworth Barnhart is my Great Great Grandmother. I will add you to my tree but my email is bailey.lar@gmail also. We have quite an interesting family!!! Looking forward to talking to you soon!

My name is Amanda Powell and I am responsible for putting out the flags at Old Town Cemetery on Memorial Day. My Grandfather DW Peters was responsible for this until his death in 2001. He knew where the veterans were buried so he did not ever make a chart. I am now trying to find out who the veterans in the cemetery are so that they may be properly remembered on Memorial Day. If you have any information on any Veterans buried in Old Town Cemetery it would be greatly appreciated.
