I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of James R. Hallford in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (Memorial# 47164224).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Arkansas Obituaries, where his obituary is included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/AROBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, I will add this to the photo caption:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Velocistar237 [or your name if you like]
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

the problem I have is that it isn't the grave and I have raised this many times with the findagrave administrators. Frankly, there is no need for a choice in my view-the icon for the other categories remains the same.
Any plot info? 216-641-7575. Thanks!

I e-mailed a Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Sunday morning who covered WWII vets and who was at the funeral. Will let you know if he responds. Please keep me updated on what you find out as well. Thanks!

There is no marker at Calvary in Section 91, Lot 491. If this section information is correct that's horrible. I have already written a letter to a local newspaper reporter about it but would like to know how sure you are that that's the correct section and plot before I send the letter. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I hope they get a marker for him soon. He has the distinction (for lack of a better word), of being the only black man from Pontotoc Co. that was killed in action during World War II. Someone created a memorial on Find A Grave for him, but they have him listed as being buried in Belgium. My understanding is that his remains were brought back to Pontotoc in 1946(?) and placed at College Hill Cemetery. Will keep checking for his new marker.

It was my pleasure.
And you've scored major points. :)

You're very welcome; it was an honor. Words cannot express how I felt standing at the foot of that headstone. God Bless those men and the sacrifices they made.
