William Flansburgh
WIlliam Flansburgh was my 2nd great grandfather. He was a Reverend for nearly 50 years. He was born in 1809 and lived to the old age of 88 years.

He is buried in a grave which only has a granite number marking his grave. He was reinterred with about 100 other persons when the Sacandaga was flooded in the early 1900's. His father, Mattheus is buried in Day Center Cemetery. William had a son named WIlliam, but his dates do not match yours either. The Flansburg's were a big family and most of them lived in Day. Although I do not know the particular William that you have the photo for, it should be relatively easy to locate the correct William which matches your photo.

Photo on Memorial #79740910
Thank you so much for all of the photography you do. You are a great treasure to the findagrave website.

On my memorial #79740910, you have mistakenly placed a photograph of a marker a for young child, and not my William Flansburgh.

I'd appreciate your assistance in removing it.

Keep up the great work. We all appreciate your efforts.

How can Albert Hale and Albert Hale be a duplicate?
Albert Hale was born 18w7 and died 1892. His marker is a short marker.

Albert Hale Was born 1783 and died 1848. His marker is a tall oblique type marker.

They were likely father and son.

Thanks for the photo. It looks hard to read. Can see his name and not much else.

You have had a request for a photo for some time now, and I have looked for this marker several times. I don't believe there is a marker for him or his wife.

FAG Correction - Frank Mattison
I received your correction requests to add Frank Mattison as the father for Leon, James & Grace. Franks memorial indicates a "non cemetery burial". Are you sure he isn't located there at the Sterlingville Cemetery (listed as Gates Cemetery?) I know he is not listed there but many of the stones there are difficult to read and may not have been added. Is there documentation that he was buried somewhere else within the former town?
