Bio and Links
Bio Photo Interested in Geneology; have traced back to 1700's. Live within 10 min of Mother of God cemetery. I don't mind helping, as long as its not over done.

I will ONLY do Mother of God Cemetery.

Other cemeterys in my area have lost/burned out computers/files caught fire, etc.

Note: IF this is just a hobby, then don't waste my time. I'm very excited about this project, and we are remembering those who have done on before us.

RE: Estes Cemetery
Lincoln County, Kentucky Genealogy has a map of this cemetery. The address of the cemetery is 12450 Ky Hwy 698.
You can do a search for Lincoln County, Kentucky Genealogy and when you get there go down to Cemeteries and click on it and it will take you to all the cemeteries and then click on Estes Cemetery.

RE: Estes Cemetery
I'll have to check with my cousin because they grew up down there. I was only there once when my grandmother died in the 1950's. I was down there a couple of years ago and wanted my cousin to take me there but she just drove past it. It is located on a farm or next to it. One of my deceased cousins husband use to take care of it until his health failed. I know how to get there but I'm unable to give directions because I don't know the name of the roads or routes. I'll get back to you.

Emmett Estes
Hi Jim,
To my knowledge my uncle's name was spelled with two m's. When I was getting my family history together I sent forms to family members. His daughter Genevieve sent hers back and she spelled her father's name as Emmett and that's also when I found out his middle name was Carpenter. All of my other cousins in the Tinsley line spelled his name with two m's. I don't know why his military tombstone has 1 m unless that's the way their records show it. I decided to go with the family version.

RE: George Martin
Hi Jim,
It was a pleasure to do this, I think I get as much good feelings as those receiving the pictures.

Do you have any Martins in

I have on my paternal grandmothers side.

RE: Johann Dame
Are you referring to the photo for Johann Hermann Dames (as opposed to Johann Dames, the father) in which both Johann Hermann and his sister Johanna's dates are included on the same side of the grave marker? I'm trying to understand exactly what your comment means.

Blue Grass Memorial Gardens
Please move your Memorials to Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Jessamine. This is the correct County. There are over 2000 Memorials there. If you want a chance at getting photos your Memorials should be placed at the correct Cemetery. Carole

Thank you so much for the pictures of the burial location. This will make it very easy to find next time we are in the area.
