|I was rasied mostly in Putnam and Montgomery co., Indiana, most of my ancestors as far back as 1840 lived not five miles from where I lived, in Putnam Co. Indiana. My Mother still lives in that same area. Other ancestors of mine lived in the Hendricks Co, Indiana area. |
I have been researching both family and professional genealogy for almost 30 years. I have published several genealogy books and sell them to Libraries and individuals all over the US. What started out to be a trip or two with my sister in law, became my passion. Cemeteries seems to be on the top of my passion. I enjoy walking the cemeteries, it is just so serene. In my lifetime I have come across some really exciting and interesting things. One of the BEST things I have found without even looking was, I found a half brother. I was 52 years old when I found out about him, what a BLESSING that has been. We have been together now about 10 years and have shared so many memories. It is like we have know each other forever. I lived in Indiana, he lived in Kentucky. We moved to Kentucky right after I met him, so now we are 2 hours away from each other.
My surnames that I am researching are LAMB,EGGERS,CASE,DAVIS,Morphew,MCCLOUD,MERRITT

The only one listed for Barnard Cemetery in Putnam county is Otis Egbert Bartlett son of John F. and Mattie. Husband of Julia H. born Aug 20, 1820 died Mar 20, 1910. In a transcript of the entire cemetery made in 2001 no stone was found.

That's great Marilyn!! Also, Tina is buried beside Bessie. I believe you or someone has a memorial for her because I added photos to it. ;-)

Well, I think Amanda has to be related somehow, since she is next to Bessie. Maybe not, but I am betting she is. And I bet she was an infant who died in the same day of her birth.

I am only seeing one now? Did you get the other deleted? Getting ready to add photos. :-)

Hi Marilyn! I did find Bessie L Miller, but she isn't buried with Olin. I couldn't find him in the area they were all in. No empty space beside her either.
Their daughter Tina(I think their daughter?) was to the left of her stone, and maybe granddaughter Amanda was to the right. Would you like to make Bessie and Amanda's stones?
